Yes ... he's on it thanks. I hope he'll succeed ... selfishly I'd like to have him around for many more years. Is your advice from personal or professional experience ? Rog Neither. I just read a lot about dieting and weight loss a while ago (its mainly what the trendy 'keto' diet is about). The part about diabetes naturally came into it a lot with many seemingly educated experts also advocating the no sugar, no carbs thing instead of pumping yourself full of insulin. Even if they are wrong, which I doubt, eating lots of veg (and binning the processed crap) surely can't be bad for you.

Diets are fine but unless they are permanent, a lifestyle change, they are worse than useless.

I've been dieting this summer. 6ft2.5 (medium to large "frame") and 70kg was much too heavy for me. I think I've got it down to 65kg now.
With this trapped nerve problem causing me walking trouble and the whole face mask in shops stopping me going shopping I can see this diet thing going on a fair while longer.
By Christmas I'll probably be down around my correct weight which is about 58kg.

Does anyone know what to do when there's an obvious area of significantly higher corrosion on the hull, directly below where the sink drains out? Take your engine out and leave it on your back deck for three weeks. Whoops sorry wrong thread. I thought that was the answer to most boat problems...

I may check my stern sides for rust, sometimes when single handing and I need a wee I just set the boat steady and pee over the side, but you always get a dribble land on the side of the boat.. There's now a cure for the last drip, or as we are getting older sometimes it's the first drip that gets you. They graft a nasal hair follicle onto the end of the penis, when you've done "Sniff" and the drip is gone. No need to whack it against the porcelain to remove the drip.

As a beer drinker, I buy for taste rather than content. I often buy some 3.5% like Banks's Amber or Green King IPA, but am quite partial to some of the stronger ales, but they are not session beers. Jaipur IPA is very pleasant and easy to drink. Some of the cheaper strong brews are a bit like paint stripper. Every so often, I treat myself to a delivery from Belgium of Gouden Carolus whisky infused ale at 11.5%. It goes down very smoothly and at the same time fills you up so you don't want to drink more. I just hope that the 'Trade Agreement' will ensure continuity of supply.

Clinton Cool Yes. I was once accused of being anorexic by a useless doctor. No, I'm just thin.

Yeah doesn't seem right, should be mid 80kgs at that height.

High speed travel always raises my anxiety level to near critical so a nice compact package combined with the feel of real glass does wonders.
