I have been offered a 50% deal by a pal, to buy a ‘seized’ boat for restoration, direct from the bailiffs...
What are the legal standings with this sort of transaction as to buying seized vessels, what sort of legal proof of ownership will come with this vessel? I dont want to name the boat, but its well known as a ‘local to me’ seized boat!

I think for the right price the Mersey might be alright. It seems to have a proper cabin without silly leaking windows but of course any boat with overplating is a bit of a dodgy situation.
