If you want to gain knowledge, you have to do some research. Waste of time. He's contradicting himself but can't see it.

Some people have genuinely been stressed out by being served notices by mistake (or incompetence). A few have been dealt even worse cards. It's not a subject to be taken lightly as REAL lives have suffered, not some muppet hiding behind a keyboard. It sounds like we've both managed to escape any cock up's or misrepresentation of the law but that could so easily change if we allow CRT to run riot with their logging system and made up rules. ...that's my rant quota over for the evening...

You could try the poll out on CWF. No, on second thoughts anyone who doesn't select the 'I'm Ok Jack' button would get a life ban.

About 95% of boaters get hassled by CRT once a year when they demand money.
Not quite sure what happens to the other 5% but as far as I am aware they "get away with it".
More seriously, heavy handed enforcement could well result in some bad shit. I do wonder sometimes if the restricting of a cruising license to 6 months -whether legal or not- could raise someone's anxiety level to the point where it triggers suicide.
I know this is a bit heavy but it occurred to me that the threat level imposed by restriction of license duration is quite high.
I am talking about people who have been on the cut for a long time.
I expect the system is able to accomodate these cases as long as communication is good.

I expect the system is able to accomodate these cases as long as communication is good. From my own experience, the Trust has "generally" moved forward, and in some cases for the better. The enforcement department however seems to be stuck in a time warp, as is usual when civil servants are in charge. I think their needs to be a change of the management structure and its staff within enforcement. The "enforcement team" has become an entity around the individuals running it. This is not good, and evidence is increasing to suggest this is so.
