When I went to visit my 96 year old mum a week or so ago. She burst into tears becauae she was overwhelmed by the London attack coverage on BBC. The TV to her is her only view into this world since she lost her mobility. She trusts the BBC to give her a balanced view of this world's affairs.
We have tried to get her to watch something much lighter, but she seems hooked!

Greed. Its animal instinct to take all you can for survival. Animals starve other animals but with humans its the money doing it.

starving children are unfortunately the result of the human race over-reaching its potential in certain parts of the world. there is a blame there - the religions that encourage rampant breeding and the international organisations who spout hot air and send funds that are misdirected by corruption. There are probably many reasons. The bulk of the world's weath being directed to the few is another. They are the ones who could make a real difference not our so called 'elected' government and media who expect us to keep putting our hands in our pockwts (athough that probably helps a bit).

I certainly don't see the same degree of inbalance in other species on this planet as we do with humans. Intelligence is just another tool really which can be used for good or bad.
