I don't like it when mummy and daddy argue - kiss and make up please... (it doesn't matter who is "mummy" or "daddy" - another term for that is 'flip-*uck' rlmao.... Honestly, I'd ignore Gazza's advice, he is generally considered to be the Thunderboat village idiot. You spend what, Β£3,000 a year mooring, licensing, insuring a boat which cost Β£80,000+ to build? How much are you hoping to save on a filter, a fiver?Β In those immortal words of either Kris or Tomsk. Fuckwit Twat. Go have a Yorkie and leave the technical stuff to those of us that paid attention at school π

My own research into this has led me to conclude that O.E.M quality filters are perfectly up to the job.

Ive been struggling to find an air filter to match - the oil filter from inline only worked out about 1.50 cheaper than I found the proper one for so wont bother with that... the fuel filter is about 20 quid so that might get bought.
As said, I' rather change them more often and if I can find a cheaper oil than the Morris stuff that would be great.

Weeeeeell,we get our cheaper filters from Filtermania near Stafford & they are brilliant.Been going there for yonks & we haven't blown up,imploded or stopped moving. As long as you know the ref numbers-you'll be fine using cheaper filters. It would be plain stupid not to get the best deal you can (even if you are gingerπ he he he ).

For a second time, the cheeky Indian that owns ECP purchased the name to sell to gullible people trading on the good name Crossland once had. Sogefi (an OEM aftermarket supplier) distance themselves from their former brand with good reason

I personally wouldn't use any manufacturers that I couldn't check out where and to what standard their products are made. I can't speak on Crossland filters personally, but if Gazza knows something then I would be happy to take his advice. I don't have a problem with any country doing the manufacturing as long as the process is to the same standards as O.E.M, but one does have to be careful sometimes if it involves developing countries or China.

Sogefi (an OEM aftermarket supplier) distance themselves from their former brand with good reason Same as sports direct. They buy what used to be very good brand names, very cheaply and flog very poor products with the brand name on. Most of the taff they flog has threads hanging out and barley stay in one piece on the hanger but I guess it makes the owners a lot of money

Ah right, I'll give you less of a hard time then! Change the Β£1.50 one regularly and you won't need to worry so much about the expensive one, fit a twin head with water separator and you will never need to change it - that will work out cheaper in the long run anyway π

Thanks. It took a bit of "going round the houses" but we got there in the end.

That's a straight 30. Your spec is a 15/40 api cc oil, loads available.
