So basicly if your rich you can keep a boat in London, if not fuck off. If this is the way crt go I predict lots of trouble ahead. That would be broadly similar to London housing then. Obviously you can have a boat elsewhere and visit London if you can find a space but is there a particular reason why people should be allowed to reside in London for such a low cost? Surely you can see the eventual outcome of that sort of biased situation ?? It's a shame it's almost like London will become a gated community. I remember the waterways there in the 80's when nobody wanted to go near them. By the way the reason a city like London needs affordable housing (not necessarily boats) is to house it's menial workers. Or who is going to empty the bins, clean the offices or serve the rich people their expensive coffee.

I agree with you. I don't know if you have profiled me or if you are making assumptions about my circumstances. They taught me in my secret service training to be suspicious of people who go on about wealth inequality all the time. Its like Russians always leaving the spoon in their teacup even when drinking it. Dead giveaway.
Most of the workers you speak of are housed outside of the centre and transported using rail networks AFAIK.

It's almost as if the whole thing was created to cause a massive transfer of wealth and resources. The centre of that is london.

True but I think involving the canals in the "struggle" will result in negative outcomes for boaters.

Well since Crt took over the managment anyway. Your moorings going to get very exspensive I would have thought, not that it's cheap at the moment.

Have a read of the "London mooring strategy" proposals kris. I'm not going to get into what I think is the solution as it will not lead anywhere constructive Although I have read them, and replied with the survey, I believe you would be a bit naive if you think it's all going to be as they are saying at the moment. London, and it's boaters are going to get a kicking. You will be priced off the waterways there, and I predict a massive clear up operation of dumped boats. The writing was on the wall for London the last time I went through (about 4 years ago) That was when something could have been done about it without causing problems for those already there. I said it on CWDF at the time and got screams of abuse about it. It should have been nipped in the bud. Now there is no option (IMHO) to being draconian, otherwise the whole thing will come to a grinding halt.

Now it's going to be a conflict.

How many beside myself have taken part in C&RT CONSULTATION /LICENCE REVIEW despite not being a licence holder or indeed with no connection whatsoever to the world of boating and waterways ,I ignored the first email but was contacted again and encouraged to fill in the survey , I did take the survey ,filled all in with the sole intention of seeing if they would indeed accept my views , seems they did and thanked me for taking part , C&RT all my arse and a bag of banana,s.

Hundreds. CRT and parry have really taken the piss on this. It's a con from start to finish, and I expect nothing else from a wanker like Parry.

The answer could be to marry someone rich. I hear Magnetman is both single and rich....a match made in heaven perhaps?
