Well said one and all (well almost all:) ) We fit nice and tidy into the liveaboard cc'er catagory; but to be honest I'd just as soon be called a boat owner or boater. What does it matter to anyone else except crt how far we cruise or how often? The first two years on board we covered 1600 miles, unfortunetly the last couple of years we've drastically reduced it to about 40 a year, and that is simply down to my health issues. I appreciate that we've only been doing this for 4 years and to a lot of boaters we are still considered "newbie's", but that's ok too. I learned very quickly to stop judging folks by how they (or their boat) look, we have met and became friends with some pretty scruffy buggers (both people & boats)since we've been living on a boat and I wouldn't change that for the world. The boating livestyle has changed me, for the better I think. I didn't realize just how judgmental I use to be. **not implying that to be interesting or nice you need to be scruffy or have a scruffy boat, we've also met some really nice people who wear the latest fashion and have prestine boats. It just goes to show the old saying about a book and it's cover is Very true. I'm glad I've finally realized it.

That is so true..2 of my kids are so polite to strangers they see in the street who have obviously fallen on hard times that it was a real education for me...I still cannot be as relaxed as they are..particularly the son whose had a rough ride through life...he asks them all how they are doing. They never judge a book by its cover...
