Roof stumbled and black caulked, hopefully riveted this weekend (beer permitting!)👍 I'm slightly unsure as to why the handrails are required here. Is this to stop you stumbling or perhaps for some help while walking on the water? They are an aid if the event of a random Towpath back scuttling incident occurs ! 👍

The thought of missing out on 2 hours getting wankered on Saturday has spurred me on to do the riveting this afternoon before I head off to work...... I'm even more confused now. Why would wood planks be riveted? Surely you mean the coach bolt heads.

Anyway it looks good to me and I see the point of the handrails now. When I say handrails I mean the cants.

Decided against cream side panels and gone for the red lead look.... just portholes to fit and tunnel light connector but alas it’s now beer o’clock for the weekend🍻

Well...with the pubs being shut, decided to give a ‘Trader-esque’ look to my boat ....Not doing the ‘single row along the gunnel’ thing that all the falsies do, but 4 blocks of 6 ‘plated / riveted’ look every 5 ft. Sure it’ll look good / right once I’ve finished! 🙂 Red oxided as well, just waiting for signwriter to get back in touch for a remake on the back cabin work, cream panel with new ‘oldie’ lettering! 👍 FFS pubs...hurry up n open, I’m getting knackered doing all this boat work! 🙄🙄

The third one in two rows down is in the wrong place.

The third one in two rows down is in the wrong place. I’ll have you know, I took actual measurements and spacings from HMS Subtle, constructed by Cammell Laird in 1944... Honest! 🙄
