SHE feels "uncomfortable" ........... I suppose she feels happy at someone else being a bit more than "uncomfortable" because of delays getting an ECG

Should be made to donate the £2500 out of her bonus / overinflated pay cheque! Make her put her money where her mouth is, see exactly how 'uncomftable' she really is!

I think they should dress up as nurses and stand outside the hospital offering 20 quid to every nurse who comes past them.

I think some of you in this thread are missing the real issue here. The NHS has become so politicised and as a result so subject to such figures as this CE being scrutinised including how they respond to matters pertaining to equality and diversity that to do something not deemed acceptable by her board could cost her job.
So if you want to blame anything blame the direction this country (And along with it the public sector) is taking on such matters.
It's not of her making I would suggest though of course she makes a convieient scapegoat for those easily taken in by tabloidesque reporting.
And for the record I always looked fabulous in my nurses uniform.

Or maybe she needs to grow some fuckin balls ( I know that's a near impossible ask in the public sector) and do what's right for the people she's paid to be serving! These talentless twats in their ' cushy job for life' need to try a month or two in the private sector !

I'm fine with the general concept of this, provided Shropshire health trust ban their female nurses from wearing trousers at work and adopt a "skirt-only" policy. If it is unacceptable for men to dress as women, then surely it is just as unacceptable for women to dress as men? After all, that is the whole point of equality.

And for the record I always looked fabulous in my nurses uniform. Just heard on ITV news direct from the relevant League of Friends that three other nearby hospitals in different trusts have actually asked if they could have the money so I can not subscribe to this idea. I agree with the sentiment though. Bed pushes in all sorts of fancy and not so fancy dress has been an aspect of hospital fundraising for as long as I can remember. The spokes person for the LoF said that he thought the problem would be resolved very quickly by that Trust.
