Why haven't you got a better entry to the competition then? ... and decide that the 'Grainy Film' setting on the camera was the trick. It's this 'processing' what ruined the picture for me. I enjoy most of your photos but as soon as anyone uses an 'artistic' setting I go 'yuk'. Other people like the settings though.

MJG I remember you posted a nice video clip of Vulcan on CanalWorld a while ago. Springing off with a stern rope I think it was. very cool boat. Just posted a link above.

Naughtfox. You barges photo is great. I always like seeing pictures of Vulcan (centre) its a lovely boat. It moors at Stainforth lovely couple that own her like Martin over the years I have met them all over the place. Its not often that conversions of barges goes completely right but Vulcan and JohnVs Sabina H are two of them that I would love to own

(I note that you didn't 'like' it )

the quality of pictures coming through is very good. there are quite a few I would be happy to have on a calendar. Foxy's idea: If 12 photos come up that are calendar-suitable this time around, I could look into having some printed for Thunderboat members. There's time to get that done before Christmas 2017. don't worry, I know. I won't be taking your credit. p.s don't forget your last picture will be your entry.

I thought about entering one of these two. however they were taken last year just after the last competition finished. so I felt they were too old. and this one which I would of thought maybe good enough for a calander.

Do you want me to copy the last one over to the voting thread? Personally I prefer the first one.

I like the first one too. but to stay in the rules I will post one up so it's clear that my last photo is the entry.

The top one is horizontal so more likely to end up in a calendar

The top one is horizontal so more likely to end up in a calendar However, the orientation of the photograph is irrelevant in terms of the competition. (Which is what this thread is about).
