Don't want to tread on the Celeb Snuffit thread's toes...But just how much longer can Theresa May last? After that shambolic election decision, Her joke of a speech yesterday plus Boris undermining her and constantly trying to get in her pants how much longer can she last? Oh....and the press are out for her too! Gone by the start of 2018? Any other predictions? www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-41507073

I really couldn't care less for the whole pack of them.
However I would very much like to see us now make a swift exit from the EU, as that is the desire of the majority.
In that regard, I hope there are no further elections until after the fact.
Then, she is toast for sure.

I think the question should be 'How much longer has this Conservative government got?'

I think the question should be 'How much longer has this Conservative government got?' I think it will do its full term, whilst they have their disagreements nobody will willingly cause the loss of their own jobs. Plus Labour are no more united than the Tories! all of politics is a mess at the moment and the press dont help

I think the question should be 'How much longer has this Conservative government got?' I think the answer is "until there is some viable alternative" which in my opinion, is nowhere on the present political horizon.

Well Mrs May made a pledge to cap 'rip off' energy prices, again, lets not forget she's promised this before and failed to deliver. Neither should we forget that this is lifted straight from the Labour party manifesto. She says there will be a draft bill next week to give Ofgen the powers to cap the bills of consumers being 'punished' for their loyalty or their inability to shop around. Tories have already admitted that they are giving Ofgen the power to impose a cap but they're not going to order the regulator to impose it! £2bn extra for council/affordable housing. Downing Street has admitted that this will help create just 5,000 homes a year in this parliament, whilst the number of homes built for social rent has fallen from 39,560 in 2010 to just 6,800 last year. At the same time the number of all affordable homes built has halved to 32,630. Is this a vote winner? I don't think so... 1.2 million are on council waiting lists. An independent review of mental health service provision. That's welcome but it's no kind of commitment. Review of student university fees and loans... this is just kicking the can down the road. A freeze in the cap on tuition fees and a higher earnings repayment threshold of £25,000. Labour will simply out bid this! A presumption that we give consent to organ donation after death. 'I'm from the government and I'm here for your organs' That's all folks. Thin gruel. No mention of our underfunded public services, no attempt to tackle tax evasion and avoidance or the widening gap between the rich and the poor. No vision for a fairer society, in fact no vision for anything beyond staying in power for another week. No suggestion that she can create unity in her party over Brexit and the new Tory hero, Jacob Rees Mogg, continues to promote his vision of a glorious 'hard Brexit'. Boris Johnson making a fool of himself and our country with stupid remarks about 'clearing dead bodies' in Libya and the Chancellor of the Exchequer making a 45 minute speech devoid of policy but filled with crticism of the Labour party..is he rattled or what? Todays Evening Standard tells us Tories are variously calling for the resignation of Sir Patrick McLoughlin, the party Chairman, Boris Johnson, Theresa May and anybody else they can think to blame. 'Strong and stable?'

I have big hopes that as Brexit goes on people will stop coming here and the ones that have come start to leave about 7 -8 million would be good

When flying over the uk we can see a huge amount of open space, it's not all 'National Parks' or 'Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty' is it. I'm all for defending 'green spaces' but there's a lot of nimbyism and self interest going on here.

But they never build in those places do they? why because they are unsuitable, they build or want to build on parks, fields etc the place that we need to feed ourselves and to keep us fit and healthy, they also like to rip up woods that produce the air that we breath! I am sorry but the country is over populated by about 20 -30 million and the quicker the population shrinks the better for us

I am sorry but the country is over populated by about 20 -30 million and the quicker the population shrinks the better for usWell until we and the other relatively affluent nations of the world are prepared to deal with inequality we'll have to accept population growth. If you're born in, say, a sub Saharan state you suffer poverty, oppression, wars, famine and disease, life is so bad you'll risk your life to try to make the journey to Europe. These are people just the same as us, why should they be destined to suffer so much whilst we in the northern hemisphere get fat?
