You mean the bloke who killed his own father because he ran out of cash? That's him. Has sex with animals as well. Delta9 he's called. Sick fuck. That's actually very shocking. Do you have evidence for this ?

I've been banned off of London Boaters now for being a sexist. I posted a joke. Q. Why has there never been a woman on the moon? A. It doesn't need cleaning yet. And that really pi*sed off the resident rug-muncher in charge. Have you joined the London Boaters humour/joke/debate page. Snowflakes get a very hard time. for instance Tim Lewis of historic nb fulbourne joined and complained about this joke as advocting violence to women An indian man has been arrested for punching his wife in the face. Chinda Goodunproppa has denied all charges. He left very shortly afterwards....back to the safety of cwdf hopefully

Having met Tim Lewis, I can vouch for his lack of any form of humour. I also thought he was a bit of a pillock.

I thought it was funny how he was so outraged about the assault side but obviously not bothered about the racist side.
Good fail Tim

The chimney sweep one was funny, I'm thinking of moving to London to fleece the hipsters!

I connected a jump lead from positive to negative on the same battery when I was a in my early stages of boating education . It was a big battery I found in a skip (220ah 12v type), The jump lead plastic melted then the copper glowed bright green and then the whole lot collapsed onto the battery breaking the circuit. Battery didn't seem too concerned. How do you tell if a car battery is flat? You get a straight edge such as a metal ruler and if you can hold it across the terminals then the battery is flat Disclaimer : this is for a giggle not a serious suggestion.

Shouldn't you be posting that on the CWDF pedants Health and Safety thread? Probably. I popped one once just with grinder sparks, it wasn't on charge or connected up but it still split with a quiet pop and spilled all it's acid. A mate shorted a 24v battery with a spanner. It blew up in his face and left him a bit shaken with some minor acid burns he was lucky to shut his eyes in time as one eyelid got burned. My neighbour shorted 3x 135ah batteries all in one go. Yards of thick wire lost it's insulation, the cables ties (bad idea) melted through and one hot cable neatly sliced The corner off a battery. Bit of a mess. I bet there are heaps of hipsters who think their 12v system is no more dangerous as a pp9 battery. My neighbour obviously did. He wasn't impressed that all I could do was take the piss and laugh.

I imagine boats are the same as modern cars, that the current flows round the body (?). Positive cable first, then negative cable. Remove negative cable first, then positive cable. may do in cars but sure as hell shouldn't on a boat. there should be only one negative/earth point
