Ecofans do nothing. The sooner people accept this the better it will be for everyone. The collateral damage caused by the unfounded belief that they do something is a human tragedy. Scuse me I'm not the argumentative sort but since Ive had a ecofan i haven't had to whack the heat detector to shut it up cos now the heat is evenly distributed around Horror House and doesn't head straight up stairs...... See, doubters! And a drop in a few degrees on the temperature of the stove/chimney gas over a long period of time means it's working and paying for itself. There's non so blind as them as likes burning money.

I have no doubt that our ecofan wafts a bit of warm air about, extracting more from what would just go up the chimney anyway. When ours dies (bearing?) then I would happily buy another. Im a convert I'd def keep them here....saves damage done cos hitting heat detectors with a broom kinda leaves marks on the ceiling...Its cheaper for me to shell out on ecofans

Having read comments about the scamming gits at Panasonic 'Customer No-Care' I would suggest no-one buys any of their crappy Made-in-China cameras: www.consumeraffairs.com/cameras/panasonic.htmlIt seems they will make any excuse to wriggle out of their guarantees. Of the ones I read, I would of just gone back to the shop and demanded my money back.
