Sorry that this is nothing to do real old age,but I'm 60 this year & have no idea how this has happened. One minute I'm leaving college at 21.Then I'm 25 & having a manic time with 3 boyfriends from 3 different placesπ.Then I'm 30 & getting married for a verrrrry short timeπ£.Then I'm 32 & getting together with my other half-28 yrs together & 21 yrs married.Early retirement from teaching in 2014 & now a lazy, plumpish tart.Where have those years gone ?Have to say,I'm a happy bunny but 60 has crept up on me π. I am 60 in March retired just over two ans a half years and I keep on wondering where all the years went!! Still I keep on doing stuff but I am glad that I am the age that I am, as the PC police are taking over the world and it going to be deadly dull and boring!!! We have had the best of it, we know what banter is and most of us respect the line, however in a pub yesterday I watched madness, when a youngish boating couple accused his father that he was going to far! The rest of us a mix of men and women both straight and gay were in stitches, but then again we were all of a certain age and knew that it was all banter. To make it worse they are from London, and are constant moorers doing orchestrated moves every 2 weeks so that they always have a mooring close to work!! and then they accused us of taking the piss!! Us the ones with the paid for moorings, you just couldnt boil them as soft

A wise old friend of mine told me a long time ago, never to despair or give up, because no matter how bad things got, today will always be somebodies 'good old days'. Ah, my friend Mr Bells has just arrived Rog

Peter is like the rest of us retirees......busy and occupied . For us the day is not long enough unlike those people we all know who refuse to retire because....."they'll get bored" Sad to say I know of plenty who died in the traces. Phil
