My mate Richard dropped my knipex cutters in the canal in Sheffield, he was blasa about it until I pushed him in to retrieve them!! Strange but true he isnt interested in borrowing tools anymore haven't bought decent small wire cutters for ages (use "parrot beaks" now most of the time) ..... but when used to use instrument tools I always swore by Lindstrom cutters I've got some Elliott Lucas stuff, some dad's, some my grandfather's, and one set of eye wateringly expensive Ford 1.6/1.8 diesel valve shim forceps from the days I used to bugger about with them as a not very profitable sideline. Lovely gear, in the absence of wire rope cutters the pliers were the only thing that would cut Bowden cable cleanly using the cutter on the outside edge of the jaw/pivot.
