Oh well.... I thought I'd give her the chance, and be 'the better man'. She could be put far away from Islamic hate preachers (and why aren't they being rounded up and deported?) such as in Cornwall or the Isle of Wight or the Isle of Man, or northern Scotland. We still don't know what she has actually done 'out there'. Does anyone know what kind of a pupil she was at school when she lived in the UK? What do her teachers have to say about her?

Here's a possible solution: Given that her son was born in Syria, he's Syrian, and has no right to come to Britain. Britain could show compassion to Shamima, give her a second chance, allow her to go 'home', should she so choose. Naturally her son has no such right so should stay behind, maybe go to an orphanage in Syria. Let's be compassionate as a country, and give Shamima that choice. not the case. assuming the girl is British by birth, then the son is British. UK government definition: In most cases you’ll be a British citizen ‘by descent’. You don’t need to register or naturalise. You can live in the UK and get a British passport. You’re a citizen ‘by descent’ if all the following apply: - you were born outside of the UK - one or both of your parents were British citizens at the time of your birth
Your children won’t automatically become British citizens. My son has similar status, having been born in Malta.

You are suddenly showing remarkable tolerance, so I will have to remove your "ignore" status, nevertheless, I disagree, I don't care what her teachers thought of her, she's a bad person, she has been radicalised, and we don't want her here.

They are in the British Government now, and also the Finnish Government. Is their allegiance to the UK or to their countries of origin? How many are smuggling their relatives in via the diplomatic channels? Nasima Razmyar from Afghanistan - came to Finland as a refugee 1993 - got herself into Parliament in 2015 but resigned in 2017 when she became under-Mayor of Helsinki.

Most of the current residents of the UK, and probably most other European countries, are descended from immigrants who arrived during the last 2000 years.
Frankly I would rather have hard-working families from Asia as my neighbours than some lazy right wing white supremacist assholes living on benefits.
The only reservation I have is that none of us, Asians or Europeans, should feel they have the right to influence the beliefs and behaviour of others.
I have worked all over the world and have always been surprised by the welcoming nature of the majority of the populations of those countries.
Casting doubts on the well-meaning characteristics of immigrants who have clearly integrated into our society does nobody any good.
Let's face it, Foxy, you are just a rabble-rouser.

"they", you mean people of a different race, just being a different race does not make them terrorists, what nonsense is that!. Where is that "ignore " button?

I wish those Christians would take heed, they are far too keen on proselitising. If like me you don't believe in God, why on earth would one want to be "converted". They get upset if you tell them God does not exist, so it's a subject best avoided.

I really enjoy dealing with Jehovah's Witnesses when they come to my front door. "can we discuss jesus for a few minutes?" "yes, of course .........." and then I produce a monologue about my Humanist Atheist beliefs. They usually get bored after a minute or so and make their excuses and make a quick exit.

British citizen by descent is the normal case for British people in the UK, it is not a special case, except as follows: it's the CHILDREN of a British citizen's CHILD who don't automatically become British citizens if their British parent was born overseas. Begum's child is automatically British (assuming she is herself a British citizen) regardless of the nationality of the father or where the child was born. for example, a British friend in Malta was born to a British airman and his Maltese wife. He in turn married a Maltese lady, and assumed that his children would be British. He had to try to prove that he was born on the British airbase that he believed was UK sovereign territory, and the last I heard of him he was still trying. My son is aware that if he ever has children with a foreign lady he must ensure she gives birth in the UK if he wants his kid to be British.

There was a pair of them knocked on my door, one training the younger chap, I just told the lad straight ........... "you are being sadly misled by these people" they are just after your money. They looked shocked, if I've "unconverted" one, I've done my good deed for the day. They must keep a record, cos they've never been back.

I’m genuinely intested in the beliefs of atheists and those who aren’t. The problem is that I’m not sure this is the right forum to discuss such matters..well unless one is atheist perhaps? When I was on CWF I started to debate with people who claimed to be atheists, then I got banned. Fair enough, but I’m here if anyone is interested in my current views. I think I got labelled as a ‘non-atheist’ nutter.
