No I was being a bit sarcastic TBH. I thought you and him are going to fight too the death over it, with feather dusters of course. Or was that you and nick? I assumed the handbags were coming out. Foxy said "you old sod" to MJG which on this forum is extremely offensive. Almost reported it to Big Boss d9. But I couldn't be arsed.

Foxy's new rule is encouraging for us beginners. Up against photoholics with nice cameras and decades of stored photos I don't feel it's even worth pointing the camera. If anything goes by any family member I could get my son to dig some out, he has a 1st degree in photography and plenty water related shots, but what would be the point? I wouldn't even have to look out of the window. I do have decades of stored photos but I am a long way from a photoholic !!! I certainly come under the, (If you take enough "snaps" then some will turn out ok) classification Another stored one Portscatho sunrise by mudlarker2, on Flickr Incidentally this was taken on 35mm, I think on 400 ASA Kodak film with my old faithful heavyweight Pentax

I think mine for 2017 was taken on a phone from memory. But it was shot in 2012 I think. I do think in the spirit of the competition the shot should be taken by the person entering it but you can't really make it a rule as such because there is no real way of verifying it. Some things have to be taken on trust, it's just a bit of fun after all. A rule for 2018 pics only does start everyone on an equal footing?

I think that is what I feel as well, that was the reason I chose that particular photo for the last competition, as it was taken that summer

This was my imaginary friend on the back of the boat with me during a winter cruise on the GU near Southall Ballymore's idea of appropriate canalside development. Brentford is next, starting March or April according to the latest.

You mean the nice relaxed area near Thames Locks ? I noticed their hoardings up near there close to MSO marine. Is the boatyard remaining ? I bet the new residents won't like it !! Limehouse cut is being completely "canyonised" right now. Anyone who has not been here for two or 3 years would not recognise it

I never interacted with a moderator at all other than to ask why my sex toy comment attracted 2 warning points (only warnings I had in ten years on that forum). I think you've put me in the wrong pigeon hole or you're having a giggle I'll give you the benefit of the doubt by assuming the latter.. Eta I take things literally. A bit like you do

A bit like you do I wouldn't take anything I say to seriously if I was you, unless it's about the deteriating state of the waterways and CaRT's part in that. So yes I was having a giggle.

MSO is not included, but will be substantially enclosed on the north side.

Where is that island? Is it the one by where the big black dutch barges are a couple of hundred yards up from the Thames locks? That is going to be a huge change to the area if its where I visualise it being.
I'm not that familiar with the area but I remember a boat called 'dreadnought' and a little boatyard tucked away there. Derelict now.
