Just been talking to my sister, she says about 4 inches (Southend-on-Sea) and that she had to go out and clear the snow from the bird feeders ....She also said that Southend seafront was the weather picture on the front page of the Times this morning.

.....Just staggered back in, met a chap called Oats wandering about looking frozen and ghastly grey. Hens Ok. Made a greenhouse heater from ceramic plantpot and tealights, to save the few salad leaves growing in there. This is Pike House lock, in the centre of the shot

If it goes on we'll get a proper covering I think. Haven't seen this since 2013. Buses are still running so not too bad. Here's another pic specially for jenlyn

just been out for a couple of hours doing some wiring work in the yard.
Cold but not bad, bright sunshine and only about an inch of snow (last nights lot .... yesterdays had completely disappeared by evening)
At least no wind, so all in all a pleasant day in Hull

Still cold enough in Brentford to have a thin film of ice on the river - Tide will be up in an hour, quite a high one too, which will be interesting, given the bankside works going on for the new footbridge.

Exactly. You are actually quite clever when you want to be its just a shame you so rarely make the effort.

The builders plate in your bow brings back some memories, both of holidays and hours spent on the end of a welding torch!
