do you think this could be an attempt to scupper your house sale !!! Well he rocked up day before the photographer due and I dispatched him and van to daughters... He wants very badly for me to keep this place...Ive now had all the team from the Estate Agents to check the house out....they have also expressed surprise that I'm selling and the latest one arrived yesterday afternoon asking.."Are you sure you can go through selling this?"...they all seem fairly blown away by the quirkiness..however if they saw it now!!!!.....cannot move for his stuff. Its all getting a little over whelming.

Coming by Chorley, we moored for lunch. As I gazed idly out of the window I saw an armed response team moving in on a vehicle. I was about to duck for cover when I realised it was a training exercise at the dibble skule.
A sight to see in Accrington is the clock in the market, best viewed at 12.

The title of this thread is a bit like the thread 'Unfortunate Names'.

What a cracking day for cruising about aimlessly.
I went to Botany Bay, watered up, then had a look round to moor.
It's a crappy wooden edge, very soft ground, and I hate using bank pins anyway, and there's loads of road noise, and a massive car boot sale going off too.
I turned round and carried on cruising back to Adlington.
Four hours and I haven't moved.
Sat and watched Saints beat Leicester this afternoon in a jolly good game.
Happy days.

Rog I launched my little cruiser at the slipway offside near the road bridge north of the mill, went clockwise on the L&L back to Hebden and out at the slipway there. AFAIR there's a hard edge near the slipway.

Cruised back to Wigan locks this morning. Two dry days I thought......too good to miss I thought......of course it's raining now Came back to Adlington, had a shower and then went on a blind date to the Spinners Arms. Met Andyberg and had some very ordinary food (but it was cheap). Sadly Andy couldn't drink as he's working tonight. I did my best to make up. A really good selection of ales, and I managed to try three. I'll have to go back for the others. Good beer and cheap food.....a match made in heaven. Oh and Mr berg is very good company. Hopefully next time we meet we can both have a beer. Thanks for turning out Andy. Rog

Did a bit of polishing today. Jane's back tomorrow (hussar!) and we can continue our shuffling journey to Leeds.
After a couple of hours with the brasso I decided I deserved a reward, so made a brew, sat and put my feet up, and opened the Ginger Nuts.
Eeyeuw.....
I think I'll buy digestives in future.
And certainly no frozen peas.

Did a bit of polishing today. Jane's back tomorrow (hussar!) and we can continue our shuffling journey to Leeds. You should try to meet up with Kris if you can, he's normally in that part of the world and he's a sound bloke, totally passionate about his boat and boating in general. He's got a bit of a strange toilet arrangement but I try not to be judgemental about that sort of thing.
