Clothes shopping! That's 5 minutes of the day I don't go clothes shopping anymore, I still wear some T-shirts that are over 10 years old. If my dear lady wife wants me in newer stuff, which she does, she goes out and buys them for me leaving me free to pursue my whims Clothes are not there to look good just to keep you dry and warm. I know, it's something I avoid like mad, hence me not having much left to keep me warm and dry! Also, I may well be getting close to the 'you love that bloody boat more than you love me' motivational speech. What with it being St Valentine's day for once in a while I thought I'd better keep my head down and do as I'm told - path of least resistance being the easiest to tread and all that π Must get his aversion to clothes shopping from me. His mother took me clothes shopping for a new tweed jacket. (Nowt wrong with old one, it wasnβt very threadbare ) Anyway first shop (Harry Hills in Bedford) had a nice one that fitted and wasnβt too dear. No, she says, thereβs got to be a nicer one cheaper. 3 hours of trawling the shops, we wind up in Harry Hills to buy the first one I liked! π‘π‘

Come on ladies, what's your excuse?

Come on ladies, what's your excuse? Well, against my better judgement I've been into 7, yes bloody 7 shops. All bar the last one selling ridiculous skinny fit or pre worn out sweat shop jeans. No boot cut, no regular. There must be a mountain of the awful bastard things to shift, limited choice is no choice as far as I'm concerned. Last shop was like an oasis in a desert, the ever dependable Levi's sign in the window. A not inconsiderable amount of wedge handed over and I am now up 1 pair on the jeans front, no 501's in short arse length so had to settle for 502's Now sat drinking a pint of Ruddles best in 'spoons to get over the ordeal of it all.

JimSome light reading to go with your beer π§ Ruddles is okay, I decided not to darken my mood further by leafing through the magazine. The price of cheap beer is very costly Indeed π€¦ββοΈ

An update! In a fit of madness I've decided to try swapping flywheels to get the emgien to spool up quicker and reduce the rotating mass being turned. The BMC is a proper Newage marinisation with a huge flywheel weight bolted in place. I've never really thought it a huge benefit in our application - particularly with a farty eggwhisk 1:1 prop. Decision was made to pull the box and swap it for a spare I just happened to have. This is going on tomorrow. I wanted to keep the original incase I preferred it with the weight on. River trials recommence next Sunday when I get mouse for the day ππ»π¨π¨π¨
