I saw a boat with the implied home location being "far canal" years ago.
I think this is quite rude.
Not sure if it was from Scunthorpe but just in disguise.

Up at 4am as some inebriated individual decided to yodel down the street which kinda upset the White Wolf. I dare say FB will have a few comments later as the local keyboard masters vent their spleen Waiting for a Sainsburies order as I'm fed up with lugging shopping up hill Then daughter taking us for a walk across the cliffs.

We are now back in Stone awaiting Friday to meet a returning customer (not coming back until September but going on another hotel boat on Friday) for lunch... we've become friends which is nice and part of WHY I didn't want to be just another hotel boat... Anyway, before we got back down here, Sunday night there was a tap on the side hatch about 9 o'clock (practically boaty bedtime) whilst I was in the shower and it turned out to be boaty pals doing the four counties - as you know, they've been having awful weather and they looked thoroughly knackered. I'd just take a sleeping pill but invited them in none the less for a night cap - which turned into midnight! Lovely to catch up and be a boaty person rather than pretend hotel. Yesterday was a tlc day for the fire - having painted it last week, I picked up the new glass (post restante here) - (although I got a grilling from the post mistress to say "you're not doing this regularly are you? ... the boss doesn't like doing it for new people!)... Anyway - I've left the glass rope as is at it was fine and just replaced the door seal - with black this time... in hindsight, it's going to annoy me every time I open the door now but hey ho. Today is hair cut time and then another oil change... I'd not spotted it being due but of course, with all the extra running due to the old batteries, it's crept up way too quickly - oh well, it should be the last one until we drop the anchor for winter.

Yes, but "Kingfisher" isn't a hilariously clever and humourous name which is testimony to its owner's dry and sophisticated wit.

And ... the scarcity of Narrow Escape 's and derivatives makes hunting more difficult and therefore more rewarding when spotted. Only one Telemachus, and Bearwood Boster listed by the way. Two Paneke 's (I know ... I know ... only one spelt with five letters ) although the other's a wide beam. Rog

As for Dulcinea there is another one on the Thames but instead of the awfully infra dig option of adding a numeral I simply registered with a Gold License which is done by CRT craft number rather than name.
I did consider getting a normal Thames registration but that would mean adding 2 or 3.
I had a chat with Dulcie about it and she was like "if you do that love then please put the word 'dear' after the name instead of a number".
Dulcinea dear has a much better ring to it than Dulcinea II.
Anyway the opening day of the Henley retwatter today so I think a cruise later on once the River gets quieter will be in order.
I suspect because of the virus bollocks it will probably be a quieter event than usual.
I'm unsure whether to wear the Dull Witch college blazer or the Nairobi Cricket club one. I prefer the latter as the dull witch blazer has blue stripes and I get mistaken for an Oxford old boy which is definitely not ideal !
