a naughtylust... disallowed or 'cancelled', or whatever the appropriate modern day term is. Excluded. Naughtylust is very clever. It goes really deep into proper intelligence. You have to be a real brain to deal with this one. To quote an old advert it is "class in a glass". Unbeatable.

Second coat today ... after I've cleaned off yesterday's collection of trapped insects !
Hoping that it clouds over as forecast.

2nd day of Henley still quite nice weather not as nice as yesterday but not raining. I'll do down there in the pink dinghy today and check that the odious vermin are all behaving themselves.
It's quite a funny event. They do all get quite worked up and agitated about a bunch of scrotes rowing about.
I like seeing boats being used.
The umpire launches are quite pleasant.

Heck of a wash they make when shifting. Will get better pics today as easier to do from dinghy.

Blue sky and hazy cloud today. On the dock at Fishguard waiting for the ferry, hopefully a smooth crossing. Takes me back to the days when I used to do this for a living π±

Today's rather uninteresting news is that the mooring is pretty much back to being weed free now. Amazingly my tomato plants have survived and are even producing fruit. Of course, when you factor in the cost of the seeds, compost, pots and fertilizer it would have been cheaper to go buy some tomatoes from Tesco but that's not the point. Been practising with my lock picking set. I bought this on ebay and just in time too because it looks like they are removing all listings for them and they are now a "prohibited item". I'm getting really good as well, I can open Yale locks and fairly good quality padlocks in under half a minute. I should even soon be skilled enough to rival Dogless (who by a strange coincidence just briefly paused for a chat as he and Jane came by) in the boat thieving game. Been a horrendously expensive week so back to work now methinks.

Had to abandon boat painting as the forecast cloud didn't materialise and we were in direct sun ... much too hot. Travelled on in search of shade for the morning and called at Rose for usual services. Saw the magnificent 'hanging gardens of Mr Stabby' and the curator himself ... looking utterly fabulous, shorn ready for work ... I can see why quaysider is smitten. Hope we've got a spot now we can get the second coat on in the morning. Of course as soon as we abandoned today's planned painting as being too late to start, the threatened cloud appeared. Ah well ... worse things happen on the Thames Rog

Many thanks for the gift Rog, my favourite too!
I take it you are moored by the dogging lay-by?

You're welcome but Jane says it wasn't from me ... it was the 'beer fairy' We're just before All Oaks Wood ... a bit precarious as we're on bank pins (the moorings being full). But hopefully the sun will be on the opposite side in the morning so the towpath side will be cool enough to paint ... and hopefully no combine harvesters will turn up ! Rog
