Fair question. I suppose it's the youngsters that I notice most, setting themselves up for a future of ill health. Fair answer. Really?

You'll have to report on the sheep cheese metanoia ... never tried it and we do love cheese. Did you move off from the 'company' moored with you ... or did you cut their lines and set them adrift Rog

Sometimes boat life annoys me, awoke at 4.30 to batteries beeping, need a new set, 6.30 the bilge bump going on/off/on/off so had to get up and tighten greaser and pump out.
Then up at 9 to go b&q to fine new bolts for pump out as they had started to shear and the loo became loose, back to boat and strip loo with two face masks on to try and block out the smell.
All done now though and gill knocking up a full English, then we cruise to try and out some juice back in the batteries.
Fradley bound

I’ve got 4 x Trojan T105s sitting in the garage, taken out when our lubbly Lithiums went in. 7 years old but still with pretty much original capacity I think. I’m going to do a capacity check when the tester I’ve ordered from eBay arrives. Of course as we know all lead acid batteries are rubbish, but if these turn out to have close to badged capacity I might as well sell them (cheap). If there is any interest …
But T105s need to be charged to a fairly high voltage, especially in winter. 14.8v at least. And they need to be watered every few months of use.

I’m not convinced they have that capability. Perhaps there is a small mouse stuck somewhere in the wiring and it’s requesting breakfast?

My five were reading 12.7 when taken off, having not been charged since the previous day.
Won't help you today, but until you're ready to buy new, maybe the best of mine may put you on.

Rog ETA posted same time as Nick To be honest we can survive what boating time we have this year with them, with yours and my stash of other batteries I have more than enough to buy a new set, maybe even add a fourth. not fussed an about fancy ones as we have made the decision to sell up in 18 months, so will jau about be right.

Pleasant cruise and we're now at Hawkesbury on a five day mooring, ready for our 'date' @twerp I spun at the junction and reversed so we can crack on, painting coach lines over the weekend, and have a walk to the Ricoh retail park one day, and Bedworth another. Glad we left the Brownsover services at 8am as it's been bedlam with moving boats. One boater at Hawkesbury said " It's like Piccadilly Circus" so I replied "Who'd have thought on a bank holiday weekend" He looked at me blankly and said "Is it?" "Bank Holiday Monday" "SHIT !" he exclaimed Rog
