Gloriously glorious sunshine and blue skies at present ... forty minutes ago the sky was black there were thunder claps and heavy rain. More like April than July π That looks very smart Mr Stabby. About to have Jane's Goan curry and my onion bhajis ... they smell good at least. Rog

Spent all day in slow time washing one side of the boat. Lots of green gunge and black sooty gunge, but itβs much better now. Well in between downpours and resting that is! Just turned the boat round so all to be repeated on the other side tomorrow. Meanwhile Jeff is languishing in his chair. And feeling a bit guilty it has to be said.

Bit of a shame although the Caldon is lovely. Years since we've been & we loved it.

Sailing around the world in a sloop catching fish looks less and less fun. Eating fish is overated in my opinion, although I do like a pan-fried sea-bass cooked with butter and dill.

I find it a bit bony.
ETA - oven cooked in foil, stuffed with lemon, added marjoram and lemon thyme from the roof...

Ricco is the expect on boneing. .... And sea bass π€ I return all my bass. I take a couple of mackerel a year, that's all. It's all about sustaining the fishery. 12 bass in a couple of hours this afternoon although none of them would have been big enough to feed a cat.

Was a sunny start to the day so went to work on the Vespa. Overcast this afternoon but made it home before the forecasted rain arrived. Looking like a wet day tomorrow. I do like going to work on the scooter when the weather is tolerable and it saves a few bob on fuel.

Nice enough day. Fire going. Bit of light precipitation but never mind. It is July after all.

Lovely sunny day moving from the Wardle canal to Wheelock. We were awake early,so ended up sitting above King's lock for half an hour waiting for the chandlers to reopen at 9 after their holibobs.Spotted a Morrisons local across the road,so topped up with Magnums ! Canal does not seem that busy at the moment...
