I found a key operated bicycle security apparatus with the magnet.
It was a lock full of water.
Later there was a bag of speed which I had to report as a tripping hazard.
What is next ?

Just bought this, 1988 Honda SH50 City Express, or "Scoopy" as it's known in overseas markets. It needs a bit of TLC but it started after two years in a shed with a dozen kicks and then ran faultlessly. Will look 100x better after ten minutes with a bucket of soapy water.

Today I brought the Podium launch back into the fleet. Other than Boats I am currently ignoring I have the saloon launch (green), podium (blue), floating electric beer drinking platform (yellow), the red herring (red) and gina (orange). So a good range of colours.
the last two live on top and the first two are towed.
Going to the trad rally this weekend with the offsprings at least that is the plan.
Watch a bit of varnish.

Blimey one wouldnβt want to take a newly painted boat to the end of the Caldon - the undergrowth (overgrowth) is unavoidable in some areas. CRT look to have abandoned any attempts at vegetation control! Still, it is all very pleasant. A visit to the flint mill proved very interesting, a pint in the pub at Consall Forge watching the trains - but <shock horror> absolutely no internet or phone signal on EE or Three, so no internet or satellite TV. We had to actually read books! We decided not to take the boat through the tunnel again, we would have had to take all the flower pots off and we did slightly scrape the handrail last time. So we are moored at the SW end and itβs pleasant enough. Only thing is we have run out of cake, which is fairly shocking, so went to βHettyβs cafeβ at the basin for some takeaway cake. But at Β£4.50 a slice we decided not to bother. Β£4.50 a slice is probably about Β£45 a cake. You can buy a whole one for a couple of quid (albeit a bit smaller). Partly influenced by the stroppy signs at the bins right beside the CRT elsan point and across the road from the cafe, claiming the bins are no CRT bins but belong to the cafe and they are going to fine me Β£600 for putting a small bag of rubbish in the bin. Well, they will have to find me first!

If you don't pay Β£400 to the cafe assistant by 4pm tomorrow, we will arrange for your boat to be sunk. Final warning.

P;ease note we are closed between 4pm and 8am, we will respond to your enquiry during working hours only. Well I suppose you have to close early to have time to carry all that huge load of dosh to the bank made from ripping people off at Β£4.50 for a slice of cake. I feel a great (or not so great) TripAdvisor review coming on.
