With complaints I have started to use Twitter complain about it and tag the relevant people organisations it has worked for me in the past. No organisation likes bad publicity.

Phew, made it through a tunnel under the razor wire fence out of Scotland, the drool-laden fangs of Nicola’s guard dogs snapping at our heels, but fortunately the trusty Skoda 280 outran them. Now in Englandshire heading for a secret rendezvous with the boat this evening, and looks like we will get at least a couple of days of fine weather on it. First time Jeff’s been to the boat in 7 months! Looking forward to it (and seeing my Li batteries again!).

For general info of those boaters who use Braunston marina laundry facilities in passing ... we called with a bag of Jane's smalls, and my extra larges to get tokens at the marina office and there's a huge sign 'DUE TO ABUSE, THE LAUNDRY IS FOR MARINA RESIDENTS ONLY' We'll wait until Rugby launderette, no problems ... passing the info on to save others carrying dirty laundry there and back Rog

It’s all part of the “Q-car” disguise, skoda badge but 280bhp/155mph/0-60 in 5.4 seconds hidden under the bonnet

Rog Definitely, Pete Gilbert is a really decent bloke, always got a smile on his face, a really genuine down-to-earth fourth generation boater. I came here on a word-of-mouth recommendation and I'd certainly pass that on to others. I seem to get on really well with him because I can chat about most of his hoard with a reasonable level of knowledge and enthusiasm and I'm not in the "shiny boater brigade", I don't think he has much time for those.

Bromance happening here? My lads GF knows Pete and family from way back, top guy by her account. Anyway...will you not be a shiny boater, after he has used his polisher on you?

I'm not having the mushroom vents polished or fake rivets installed.

I know it is horrible to think about but the sun setting over the river in Staines is quite beautiful.
You heard it here first (and last probably!)

After Pete's finished painting, polishing, and blacking I guess you really WILL be a shiny boater Mr Stabby ... but never mind... won't be long before your natural 'homely air of scruffyness' takes over Rog
