I thought Rog voted remain. Perhaps Rog can confirm or deny this but my understanding is that his position is near-identical to that of my boy Sam- he voted Remain, but accepted the result and is now so embarrassed by the anti-democratic shenanigans of the Remain camp that he has switched sides. I prefer to think he is pragmatic and has for that reason accepted the democratic process.

I voted remain and fear the collapse of parliamentary democracy if the referendum result that ALL parties agreed to implement continues to be side stepped, ignored, evaded and treat with contempt.
I fear the EU have demonstrated their true colours since the referendum, as have our indigenous politicians.
I no longer see any benefit in remaining, as the EU have clearly 'marked our card' as trouble and we will continue to be marginalized by them.
Yes, I guess you could say I've been persuaded we need to leave ... no deal.
Let discussions commence once we're out of the EU.
Deals will be made ... they always are.

It turns out if jim selectively adds up as many as he wants from his side, and selectively discounts some for the other side, then he produces a number that says what he wanted it to say at the outset. A bit like a swindling accountant. π

I believe it has passed you by whilst you were having your afternoon nap a couple of weeks ago. Nope, as I said, old ground and old news. Well, Jim and I like our little joke.

Why be fair to Jim? He's more than happy to dismiss the majority who voted out at the referendum, without a second thought or backward glance. That's not being fair. Rog I'm only presenting facts, someone has to promote today's majority view in this nest of Quitlings. Of course you don't like it, just as you are all frit of democracy and a confirmatory vote. The tiny majority at the referendum was not a mandate for a hard no deal brexit. At the time we were only told that Brexit meant Brexit and that we would be 350 million a day better off. We will know soon enough whether we can officially call Boris "Boris the Liar". The irony is, we would have left by now but for No Dealers like yourselves refusing to back May's deal. What inane drivel - however, the bit about Boris - if he feels happy cheating on his wife, that could mean he is also happy to cheat on everyone and everything. Have you read his column in The Telegraph? No, neither have I!

All the large, bold text has achieved is to screw up the quote. Strike that, seems it's only the editing pane that's screwed. OK on BB code view, though. 2016 : proved the country divided, and that it only takes a small percentage to be swayed by propaganda and outright lies to change the result. 2017 : Little alternative to vote for a "remain" party, apart from the LibDems, who are still paying for allowing Cameron to walk all over them , and ignore the LibDem manifesto during coalition. Certainly not 80% vote for Brexit! 2019 : If 2017 was, indeed, a vote for Brexit, then, by your own logic, 2019 is a vote for Remain.

But it's simply not true.
The only party standing on a simple issue of leaving the EU was the Brexit party (I recall you criticising their position).
Every other party was standing on a platform of issues and to select brexit as being the single decider for gaining votes is beyond guesswork.
It is ludicrous ... whoever says it.

Only 28% of the population voted to quit first time. So 75% for remain. Job sorted.

I'm not sure where that came from either. 2019. Seems you dont understand how voting works. Who gets the most wins, this is not liverpool asking for a 97 points trophy

28 + 75 = 100 I see now why you haven't really got a grasp on this situation. Rog

What about if everyone who didn't vote was assumed to be happy with the existing arrangements.
After all if they were not happy about it the option was there to change things.
