I think it's time for an extra box on the polling form, 'None of the above' I think it's time for an extra box on the polling form, 'All of the above are arseholes and should have red hot mooring pins stuck in their eyes.' And a windlass up their arse

Not spin, facts, 35% quit, 40% remain. Sorry ... missed that result ... just remind me which party got 40% of the votes ? Oh I see you're spinning the results to evidence your own claim. You may not agree but it's childish to deny that the country is clearly split on leave/remain. Rog To be fair to Jim. the BBC are trying to spin the same rubbish and conveniently ignore the fact that many people who voted for other parties (other than the Brexit party and Change party) were not using their vote as a tactical vote. Especially the Green party who are trying to address other more urgent issues. Those remain straws are slipping away fast..

Why be fair to Jim?
He's more than happy to dismiss the majority who voted out at the referendum, without a second thought or backward glance.
That's not being fair.

One issue related to these EU elections which I also consider to be significant.
UKIP's support (tainted by connections to Robinson and his ilk) fell away significantly.
I am sure that the huge support for the single issue politics Brexit party, was a protest vote.
But Farage has said, if no progress is made towards Brexit in October, they will stand throughout the country at the next GE.
Imagine this level of protest voting at a GE ... a revolution!

My take on it is that most people wanted to give both Labour and Conservatives a good kicking as they are disgusted in their behaviour in recent times. Most of us realise that the outcome of this EU election matters not one jot in the long term.. Those who didnβt vote, whilst I realise there are many who never vote, were just to confused to try.. The Tories were bound to get the most severe kicking but bearing in mind (as my mother a staunch, lifelong Labour voter was heard to say) there are those people who would vote for a donkey if it had a red rosette on itβs arse, Labour really badly too. The Brexit party stormed it, but the fact that Plaid Cymru got two seats in Wales is ludicrous and an indicator of the fact that people were voting for everyone other than May and Corbin, I even considered it myself. The real message from these results is, βget your act together politicians, we trust you much less than you ever thought.

I believe it has passed you by whilst you were having your afternoon nap a couple of weeks ago. Nope, as I said, old ground and old news. π€ Phil (π΄)

Rog I'm only presenting facts, someone has to promote today's majority view in this nest of Quitlings. Of course you don't like it, just as you are all frit of democracy and a confirmatory vote. The tiny majority at the referendum was not a mandate for a hard no deal brexit. At the time we were only told that Brexit meant Brexit and that we would be 350 million a day better off. We will know soon enough whether we can officially call Boris "Boris the Liar". The irony is, we would have left by now but for No Dealers like yourselves refusing to back May's deal.

I thought Rog voted remain. Perhaps Rog can confirm or deny this but my understanding is that his position is near-identical to that of my boy Sam- he voted Remain, but accepted the result and is now so embarrassed by the anti-democratic shenanigans of the Remain camp that he has switched sides.
