Can somebody pm me when Kris and HaulierP have finally sorted out their differences because until then their idiotic spats on here are dragging this forum so far down its fast becoming pointless even coming here.
Contaminating just about each and every interesting thread with their attempts at kicking each other in the bollocks has long since lost its entertainment value.
For fucks sake you stupid twats sort your fucking selves out...

Whilst it's a bit discouraging to witness you gents vying to see who can piss highest up the lamppost, I salute you for the fact that you all have the convictions that there is something worth arguing about. If that vessel were here in California, the only argument would be about who would be responsible for hauling it to the scrapyard. thats where you going wrong you see because that boat easily got another 60years in it. But then you can't really take any where seriously that votes Arny in as governor. Pity such a fucked up culture has developed in such a beautiful place. But hey ho. Comment deleted because I decided not to be dragged down to Kris' level.

There is categorically nobody on here as bad as you two though, this is the point. i often ignore attempts to bait me an cause a row these days, including the occasional attempt from you. Even when I do get into a row with sombody they tend to fizzle out quite quickly because one of us gets bored or goes to bed sometimes both. you should try it.

I once in a moment of madness was very tempted by a hull on there that had been restored by a mate of Carlt on CWDF. I can,t recall the name now but it was all ready to be fitted out and an engine to be installed, if only I'd had the dosh to do the work I would have straight down to buy it.

I've often found its going with these moments of madness that lead to an exciting life.

Exciting and skint! on a more serious note I also seriously doubted I had the skills necessary to do the work so would have had to pay somebody to do it making it an even more expensive proposition. It was also at a time when we were seriously thinking about living aboard which didn't come to fruition for a variety of reasons, which as things have turned out family wise has been the correct decision.

It is a kind of madness big old boats. It is easier/cheaper if you have a lot of the skills needed. I'd hate to have to pay someone to do my welding.

Occasional madness can be fun !!! but I know what you mean Martin, I had just broken up with a long term girlfriend when I bought Sabina H, so I only had myself to consider. I didn't get together with my wife until the restoration was a few years on it's way, so she knew exactly what she was getting into ! ........... the right opportunities have to come along at the right time as well.
