I find the "get it over with" attitude disturbing. "oh I've stubbed my toe, it's still hurting, quick, chop my leg off, I don't care about the future". You know Jim, for the first time in the debate I find myself agreeing with you. The deal (I have now had time to do a little research) as far as I can see does not mean leave the EU, it means we would still be tied to EU laws. The EU courts would still be able to overide British courts and even laws passed by Parliament if they don't agree with them. We would be forced to make payments to the EU as decided by them. We would be bound by the EU's defence policy and be obligated to provide such forces as they decree. We would still not be able to negociate our own trade agreements. Good Lord .... we would still be bound by the common fisheries for the (extendable) period but with no say at all in it EU law is in force during the transition period (article 127) which is bad enough as it is extendable but worse is the way the Political declaration obliges the UK to keep to EU rules on tax matters and state aid in perpetuityThe whole thing is a ghastly stitch up and is even worse than membership. Verhoftstadt will get his way and Britain will be a vassal statethis is worth a watch .... it's not a pro or anti Brexit speech but it does point to the things about the EU that I find totally abhorrent

And how much attention did they pay, or interest shown If our own countrymen pay no regard to a referendum result we shouldn't criticise others for belittling it. Rog

The Great Deal is only a tweak of May's Deal, take out workers rights, fuck the DUP and there you go.

Rog To me, their behavior has displayed everything I dislike and distrust about the EU. The attention they will give to that Italian MEP is the reason I disagree with Varoufakis' belief that the EU can be changed from the inside. It is corrupt through and through As is the UK parliament

A troubled young lad I knew about 10 years ago sat in a ditch, drank petrol, doused himself then set himself on fire. Thanks for reminding me Fox. I'm sure that wasn't his intention, I am sorry to hear of your friend.

There is a very long list of reasons to disrespect the blonde bombshell I am certain ... however it must be remembered that our parliament moved heaven and earth (something there was a singular lack of effort to do in the three plus years since the referendum) to introduce law to ensure Boris HAD to seek an extension.
Seeking the current extension is probably the one thing he cannot be blamed for I would suggest.
I have no idea how this issue can now EVER be satisfactorily resolved ... I for one try to avoid the whole sorry mess.

I have no idea how this issue can now EVER be satisfactorily resolved I have. Lock up every politician and judge and any other influential person who has deliberately done their best to stop the UK leaving the clutches of the EU. It is that simple. Let 'Brexit' proceed, and punish those locked up in a manner deemed appropriate. In this punishment, my kindest method would be to remove their UK Passports and send them off to their beloved EU by ferry - dump them on the shores of Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the Baltic countries, and place a ban from them ever entering the UK in future.

And so it came to pass. But he did say he'd prefer to be dead in a ditch rather than delay Brexit so it will be interesting next Friday to see if he has kept his promise on this one. It's been a ruse all along, how can anyone have believed it?!

Well as u can never be too sure about anything I went round a few garages today on a research project to narrow down car choice post my trip away... I ask them all would they go bust post Brexit..... Obviously I have not yet made a decision... I did talk about electric cars. This decision gonna take a long time to make, whatever happened to the free spirited impulsive creature of my youth?
