I'd suggest the apparent 'racist' chanting "words offensive to the traveller community" isn't that shocking to the readership on here. If I had a pound for every time the word 'pikey' or 'gypo' has appeared on this site I'd have a large wad in my pocket right now.

All well and good. I don't see any problem with sports taking a zero tolerance towards unacceptable behaviour. In the case of slurs against gypsies though it does seem a bit odd, given that out there in society the use of such language is completely normal, and is never challenged.

Great well deserved win and the score line flattered New Zealand.

I predict that New Zealand will win. I hope you didn't put money on that....

The second disallowed try was a wrong decision ... but both showed where England played the game ... firmly in NZ's half.
One error in the line out gifted a walk in, but apart from that NZ created nothing and were continually knocked and driven backwards by ferocious English defence.
Every man played superbly well ... to make such a good team look rudderless was terrific.
But we've won nothing yet.

I was impressed that England didn't panic when they gave away the soft try.
Wales or South Africa in the final? I would love to beat Wales but would rather lose to South Africa.

Wales or South Africa in the final? I would love to beat Wales but would rather lose to South Africa. And when they had two try's disallowed. It would have been easy to become disheartened at their efforts being scrubbed like that but it seemed to spur them on. I think the tone was set when England didn't actually pay full respect to the Haka, with a couple of players (didn't catch who it was) very casually walking towards NZ before it started and had to be pulled back by the referee.

They were accepting the challenge, that's all.
The NZ haka is more of a 'marketing ploy' in my view ... I remember the seventies before the money men got involved, an embarrassing shambles.
No problem with them doing a little dance ... but they've had their anthem ... why should they receive preferential treatment ?
