I've only just realised we are catching you up - currently not far from Church Minsul... at the end of the Middlewhich branch, can't decided whether to turn left and lurk in Nantwich or have a gander right instead.
The plan is still kind of to be in the "right place at the right time" for when SD gets down to 1 metre (which surely it must soon) so folks booked can come along again as normal.

Not gonna bother with Ellesmere PORT now, turn and burn this weekend, will head back to Waverton for a week, then week after we head for the end of the T&M, might see if we can squeeze in a trip on the lift and down the Weaver a little.
Need to creep past the boat catcher first though, early Am I think so he doesn't see us and try to have away with my tub.

For anyone who shouts "Slow Down!", if you go past them in the light of dawn, sellotape a marker-pen-and-paper sign to their boat: "I like to shout at boats to slow down". Point and laugh if you see angry man telling you to slow down.

Wohoo, back on the boat, decided as I am working from home the next two days then I would come stay on the boat, it is my home, kind of...
Always that fear when leaving the boat for a couple of weeks, you come round the corner and will it still be there.. sigh of relief when it is, and floating..
Only issue was forgetting the cut off keys x 4, I have a spare on the boat to get the engine running or the electrics but not enough for everything, easy enough to hot wire them though.
Happy Larry tonight

See if you can have a short trip up to Ellesmere Port - the basin locks, Manchester Ship canal and the Mersey is worth a 1 to 3 hour visit in my opinion. Stay overnight or you could even do it all in a long day from Chester.

Stay overnight or you could even do it all in a long day from Chester. That’s the plan, chained to the laptop tomorrow till 4.30pm then off up to Ellesmere Port for the night, same again Friday then cruise back here Friday night or Saturday morning to meet the mrs, then we head back to waverton. Seems to be a torrent coming over the top lock of the river dee bit tonight, a constant flow from somewhere...

just a quick heads up. I have booked Anderton lift for the 10th down and 13th back up... ergo, it will be broken!
Standedge didn't come off and has been swapped to the caldon for mid Oct - which will also be broken by then too...

Oh bugger that’s the weekend we want to do it... well our mates on Memory MAker are doing it too and their GOOD luck might balance out my usual bad luck - Dogless are you coming along too?
