Oh bugger that’s the weekend we want to do it... well our mates on Memory MAker are doing it too and their GOOD luck might balance out my usual bad luck - Dogless are you coming along too? Not a chance with Ellis ... bound to spend the full weekend neither up nor down ... scream if you want to go faster ha ha ! May turn up with a camera though Rog

Ran out of canal... Although there is the big boy canal, wonder if anyone would notice if I slipped on, would save a shit load of miles for the next leg up to Liverpool.

The canal from Chester to the Port is a tad grim I thought, one or two nice little spots but most of it crap, lots of crap round the rudder and big floating logs.
Would have been nice to do the museum but alas the virus put a stop to that, can’t see me going back up that way in the boat again so will have to drive up at some point when it opens.

Back at Waverton, nice little village with shop and chippy next to each other, no boozer though. There is a sign saying workboats only mooring, I laugh at it!

Don't all those hanging pots and pans and colanders make a dreadful clanging as you bash into lock gates?

They're not inside when cruising so it won't matter ... plus most of us don't hit locks.
