I am surprised how well the stock exchanges around the globe have stood up. Back when this started I heard talk of markets collapsing, banks going bust. Pensions and savings wiped out. My pension is now pretty well back to its value of a year ago. I find it all very odd. Is it a strategy perhaps. Get people confident, pull retail cash into the market then crash it properly. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see another major crash. Never been an investor and I hold no stocks or shares or property but I reckon it might be time for a big correction. Seems improbable that the effect of the virus would be minor.

Coronavirus update:
"The UK has now recorded the largest fall in GDP of any major country in the World as well as the highest excess death rate in Europe."

had to go for a test yesterday and now working from home till the results come though, mrs came into contact with someone who tested positive at work, told my work and they sent me home straight away, which is logical, mrs work have told them all to keep coming in.. all about the money I guess for them.

It may be all about the money. Perhaps they are right to think this way? If every business shuts every time there is 1 positive case whatβs going to happen. Could well end up with no jobs left anywhere.

My brother in law had a delivery of stuff and just before the bloke left he told him he'd been tested positive for Covid and now off home to isolate..... Don't think some people got it quite right

Not going to say who they are, but lets just say they have a lot of people though the door each day, into a confined space and work inside peoples mouths, 1 case fast becomes a lot of cases each day they are open and spreading. It then spreads all around the Nuneaton/bedworth/Coventry area, then we go into local lockdown and you cant boat or go the pub.

"Lockdown-free Sweden records its highest number of deaths in a six-month period for 150 years - with 4,500 of the 51,405 dying from Covid-19 the death toll has been higher than in its Nordic neighbours, which opted for tougher lockdown measures. Norway, with around half the population, has had only around 260 COVID deaths in total. The economy of Finland (333 COVID deaths) also outperformed its larger neighbour in the second quarter, despite a tougher lockdown. Finland's gross domestic product shrank around 5% against an 8.6% contraction in Sweden from the previous three-month period. These figures make for light-reading compared to the 20.4 percent shrinkage in the United Kingdom in the second quarter." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8646365/Lockdown-free-Sweden-records-highest-number-deaths-six-month-period-150-years.html"By June this year the Swedes admitted that their policy had failed. Herd immunity was not even remotely achieved and the death rate by the time they actually did resort to some lockdowns was around 7,500. That, per capita, was higher than the United States (350+ million against Sweden's 11-12 million."

Covid antibody test negative for me..the one blood test u want to be positive! Maybe you have immunity through other means. I read an interesting article about T cells recently, might be something that protects many people from the dreaded virus.
