Definitely not acceptable.
You should send the GPS location to the Rozzers so they can get their drones out.
I'd love to try and get a drone down with the catapult.
Years ago I did down a flying pigeon which crashed into my neighbours conservatory and died. That was quite impressive. Black widow catapult with home made lead slugs. Bought lead from scrap man, melted with blowtorch in a pan and poured it into a 1/4 drive 10mm socket. Tossed socket into a bowl of water then the slug pushed out once cooled down. Repeat.
They were bloody good projectiles.
Not round but flew pretty straight and being dense a lot of energy.

We are in the house(π)& it's never been so clean! As a matter of interest,I hate cleaning as well as ironing. We had a lovely lady(still a friend) who cleaned/ironed for us for years. But obviously once we retired,we couldn't justify this,so we(well mostly me) do it.I never thought I'd be looking forward to scrubbing the shower track with a toothbrush for excitement...π We have a cleaner (now on hold βcos of the virus) and an ironing lady who collects on a Tuesday and delivers back on a Thursday. Ironing Jane, as she is known has been doing this for us for 15 years and her personal circumstances are such that we will continue to provide her with work as long as possible. Also I really, really, really hate ironing.

I categorically refuse to buy clothing that requires ironing (and even gifts that should be, do without)

I'm typing up travel journal and 'helping son'.. Not done loads cleaning as I don't see the point but have sorted out drawers and cupboards...besides my house now his workshop We did watch a good film last night Not yet access Y tube but I might to find a dance exercise thing...no rush for anything

When it came really low I got a massive hand and armful of water and launched it at it. It stuttered a bit before making its escape. I reckon one of those powerful water pistols you can buy would stand a fair chance of bringing a low flying one down.

That's a good idea.
Note to self: make a high power water pistol.
An endless supply of ammo.
I really like that. Thanks for the suggestion as had been looking for legally acceptable armaments for the bunker.

I've been cleaning up an old outboard engine made in 1950. Its a bit annoying that I'm missing a gasket for the 'motor' so I can't fully re-assemble that yet, but the block is looking good in a new coat of gloss black, and the cases have been polished as has the flywheel. The bore and piston also seem to be fine although since the piston rings are not of the chamfered type getting an accurate reading on wear is tricky. However the piston is well within wear limits and I've de-coked it. I've measured the crank with a micrometer and all is well, and shows no discernible play at any bearing surface. Also I have a NOS Lodge spark plug, but I probably will replace the original bakelite plug cap. The gearbox has been stripped and cleaned, as have all internal components, and in a bit I'm going to polish that too, as well as the prop. The gearbox is not the original item but is period-correct. That only leaves the transom bracket which is the least satisfying part to clean up. And at the moment I can't locate the clutch lever which is bloody annoying. Also I registered for the volunteer thing so I may get called away.

SHOCK.
Looking out over the gardens to Claremont Pier here in Lewstuff nearly had a heart attack on seeing a beat bobby wandering along through the gardens. He was keeping clear of the promenade though. I had assumed they were a thing of the past as they had lost the use of their legs!

Since the pubs closed I went hell for leather on our garden bar/bbq shack. Polycarbonate sheet coming in the week for the roof and then itβs about done, maybe some optics and shit βdads bbq/barβ signs... The wood was free from work, old packing crates, just the bolts at about Β£20 and the poly sheet at Β£80. Run some power down the garden for the heater and Alexa with some disco lights.. just need to dig a tunnel and sneak people in.

Outside the congestion charging zone but it means transport. I'm happy to wait until another time but at some point it has to go and I'm not going to eBay it. Prefer to give it away to someone who I know. It's a 102 I think. Clutched one with the cylindrical tank. Actually a really clean unit. Let me know if you want it old boy.

Cor blimey yes I would very much like to have it, especially if it is what I think it may be, in which case I would be honour-bound to tell you what I think it is worth first. However many were made (between 1943-ish and 1970-ish), and only a few are prized by Seagull lovers. The congestion charge isn't an issue (ok I read you said it was outside it) but the clean air zone is a different matter with my ancient Toyota. I can't go for it during this pesky lock-down. In the meantime and if possible take a pic, because I can tell a lot just from looking at it. Wow!
