What is your favorite Csnalside pub on the system?
You can only choose one!
Mine is Harkers Arms in Chester.

Oh Lord Junior, that's a really hard one, I really liked the Navigation at Shardlow but that was more for the food ...... (drool) .. but I think I'm going to plump for the Rising Sun at Berkhamstead ....... (but to be perfectly honest every time I have been there my memories are somewhat blurred !!!)

Can't remember what it's called but the new one next to the start of the springs branch in skipton. Not really a pub I suppose more a bar. But lots of lovely local beer and it's awesome sat outside of a sunmer evening.

It's a tricky one. Favourite pub in term of beer (which after all is what pubs are about) or in terms of ambience? And pubs are transient things. For example we used to really enjoy the tiny pub beside Worcester bar in Brum. But now it's been expandificated and lost some of its charm. We really enjoy the swan at Fradley, but mostly just to rubberneck all the boats colliding at the junction and fighting over who's next down the lock. Consistently best beer recently has been the plough at huddlesford but it's only a nice pub when you sit outside. We've always enjoyed the Blue Lias (Stockton) but mostly because it's always sunny when we go there.
So in reality the best pub is aboard Telemachus with cava in the fridge, under gunnel LED lighting a lurid shade of purple and Strictly on the telly! Yes, we're quite sad!

I could do the purple, the cava at a push, under gunnel lighting, but definitely NOT Strictly Come 'kin Dancing. I cringe when I hear the theme music! AAAAAAARRRRGH!

I can't pick a favourite, but the one which will always have the longest lasting impression on me is The Anchor at High Offley. I love places with no food, no kids and a grumpy landlady, but sells Wadworth's 6X.

Tis dredged stuff, straight from the K&A. p.s.........if you want a nice pint of Waddies straight from the barrel, then go to The Raven in Poulshot next time you're in 'Vizes. (Walk to the bottom of Caen Hill flight and turn left towards Worton)
