Best of all though, read that Greece is reopening its brothels. I never even realised they ate broth in Greece.

Who is this “we” of which you speak? Have I missed something? yes and no. I do have a new Bosun - who got "trapped" with me at lock down and agreed to stay and spend a season with me on the boat to see how he likes it.. AS for details, Well, he's called David, He's 30 He's half deaf and teaches sign language (which I'm learning slowly) HAS hair - teeth and is a gayer... ergo, compatible lol. Ah, thank you. I apologise for my nosiness. Hope all works out as you would wish.

We had fish and chips from "Rene's Plaice" in Lymm for tea if that's of interest to anyone... 14.95 for twice and a curry sauce... NOT the best I've had (not as good as the ones from NewMarket Street Fisheries in Skipton) but perfectly ok... Tomorrow, we're gonna move on to Anderton - although I can't find a way of booking so presume it's still closed! Bummocks... We like Lyme. Curry sauce with fish and chips? Madness! I like Lymm as well.So did Matthew Corbett & Sooty but his lovely house near the bridge is now yours for £750,000.

No ... was meant for quaysider but deleted as we got out of sequence. Anderton lift opens 6 July ... but probably won't if he's heading that way ! Let us know how the dove does please. Rog Just said my goodbyes with Ralph the dove. Carried him to the spot, in our garden, where I found him. He sat quietly where placed for maybe thirty seconds, then gave a chirp, flexed his wings and, sort of fluttered off into the undergrowth. Would like to think his chirp was a goodbye... anyway, he looked as though he has a chance out there.

Have to admit,I'd been wondering if I'd missed some vital info about the bosun 😁 I knew a smidgen but its good that someone ask the questions..... now we know... I'd been keeping things private (ish ) - well more 'low key' until after the divorce was settled... just so as not to rub Andy's nose in it so to speak... within months of leaving, he'd shacked up with another chap and was posting all over facebook etc... which upset me so I made the decisiion there and then NOT to do the same... it's one thing for a relationship to break down one-sidededly... quite another to shout how fabulous the new one is so publically... only for it to go belly up (in his case) with the new one... We're still waiting for Absolute re. the divorce but Nisi and financial court rulings were done before covid came along - I'm just waiting for the final bit of paperwork if the court ever gets around to it and that chapter is closed.

Sounds like the better man came out on top, so to speak.

You deserve some happiness, you behaved in a civilised manner. Its easy to get into a mud throwing contest but no one wins.. Hope all goes well xx

TODAYS news is there was an impromptu Thunderboaters Gin session in Nantwich last night... Roger has a lot more nicer gins than I do - twas good to sit (socially distant of course) on the towpath and chew the cud for a few hours... before we knew it, it was not far off the witching hour... ergo, I am a little fragile this morning.
