Sorry to hijack the thread about this poor chap who has seen fit to starve himself. I hope he gets the help he needs. It sounds like a mental health problem rather than a boat specific topic. All threads get hijacked.

Is the ibuprofen not working? I've never had pain anything like this before.. Probably just attention seeking! 🙄

sounds like you somehow need to get to see a doctor. If your suffering from chronic pain, then you need something for it. Also to find out what the cause is. I've got someone who can take me to the quack if needed I was just hoping it was going to get better. Am a bit allergic to doctors I tend to wait until I am almost dead before going.. They do have there uses, chronic pain is not funny as your finding out.

Is the ibuprofen not working? I did do an awkward lift of one of my children several days ago so I think it's possibly a slipped disc. It's bad because I can't walk it's too painful. Well, that's it, then. Shotgun, and off to the glue factory with your bones.

From London Boaters Facebook (public): Amanda Gale said: This is Paul, he IS diabetic and IS on day 17 of the hunger strike regardless of what he appears to look like. 😐Really shocked by the stupid arse comments on here. He was unable to work through the virus and couldn’t pay the licence fees. Whilst two crt were talking to him at his boats, they cut the ropes of the one with the engine and thousands of pounds of tools on it and removed it. He is committed to his hunger strike until the boat is returned. Just another London boaters post full of cuntish comments.. nothing new there then .. "Thousands of Pounds of tools" and yet no money for the CRT licence?

The Covid thing has been with us for only 5 months. If this has stopped him working and is the cause of non payment, I cannot believe that CaRT can move that fast.(Especially when they are working from home! ) This is another dose of misinformation similar to the outcry when it was announced that the legal proceedings pause against eviction orders was to be lifted. It transpired that all the outstanding actions were initiated well before the virus struck. But then again, we can't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Is the ibuprofen not working? It's not doing much. I did do an awkward lift of one of my children several days ago so I think it's possibly a slipped disc. It's bad because I can't walk it's too painful. That's with ibuprofen/codeine at the recommended dose. It could be kidneys. The only major medical intervention I have had in my life was kidney/bladder related when I was a teenager. However the waterworks are behaving normally. I've never had pain anything like this before.. You need to get it checked. It could well be the start of a dvt.

How do you feel about cars going round with no tax or insurance? If you were to get run over by one - and no payout? Where is the Crowdfunding for this chap? Are London Boaters chipping in? No .. thought not.

Cart have been a lot quicker recently on such matters. It's not the long dragged out process it used to be. There is another going through the process in Milton Keynes at the moment, and its conclusion will have seen the process concluded within 6 months of the initial stages. The governments eviction guidance has no binding agreement with regards boats, (exception obviously for moorings).

There’s definately more to this story than what is written on the Facebook post. But what amazes me is the number of people who automatically presume guilt on the part of the boater. We will probably never know the full story and all of the details, but I posted it here to show how desperate this individual feels.
