Not one party could have expected Covid or know how to deal with it.Boris may be an oik,but could anyone have done better ? I can't help feeling that if this had happened before social platforms etc-we'd have coped better.I'm careful but refuse to be patronised & scared because I'm over 60.

Boris may be an oik,but could anyone have done better ? Yes - someone who would have sacked Cummings on the spot - and then thrown him to the hounds. Jenrick too. And 'Shagger' Ferguson. All broke their own rules. 'Jellyfish Johnson' indeed.

I'm not a Boris fan...but really don't see who would/could have done better. My heart jumps with the thought of Jezza & Dianne doing the counting etcππ We just need to get on without getting scared by numbers.I never ever thought I would be perusing face masks as a fashion choice !

I have no love for any political party. However, I fail too see how labour could have done any worse than the tories. Nothing they do seems to work. I see the long awaited App is available tomorrow, anyone here going too use it? I canβt, my phone wonβt support it. Test and trace doesnβt work. Talk of any vaccine has all but gone. Half the cabinet have had covid, why? NHS is falling apart. Not enough police. And donβt get me started on a couple of the locks on the Stratford canal...

You missed out Danny Kruger, Tory MP on train to Devizes... "Devizes MP Danny Kruger pictured travelling without a face covering on during an hour-long train journey has apologised, claiming he did have one but 'forgot' to put it on, while he was travelling on a train from the Berkshire town of Hungerford to London's Paddington Station." He's either a liar, in which case throw him to the wolves. Or he is incompetent and shouldn't be an MP. Will the Police be giving him a Β£10,000 fine? I think we all know the answer!

Half the cabinet have had covid, why? They haven't had Covid-19 - they have just been skiving for a few days. On full salary and perks, as usual. Didn't I tell you when Boris was 'admitted' to hospital he would somehow... 'survive'. He's laughing all the way to his secret Swiss/Bahamas bank account(s).

Back to Danny: "On September 7, less than a fortnight before his memory slip blatant fib, Mr Kruger told his constituents in a Facebook message that they 'MUST wear a face covering' unless exempt."
"Great Western Railway, the train operator that runs the route between Hungerford and Paddington, warns passengers on its website that they face a Β£100 fine for failing to wear a face covering on its services." - unless you are a Tory MP or friend of Boris.
The journey by train from Hungerford to Paddington is about 1h30m. Via Reading, which has been reported as a Covid hotspot.
"If an MP isn't wearing it on a train it shows they are a symbol of slavery not safety. DON'T TAKE THE MASK!!!!!"
"When he gets the virus he can suffer the quonseqens" - that sounds nasty.
"Doesn't surprise me, and his apology is hollow. Saw him and his family at the Saturday Market in Marlborough before face masks were mandatory and 2m rule still in place, and they had no regard for social distancing, actually brushing past people. But he had his children and Lockdown puppy in hand to make him look more appealing. Entitled and above the rules."

WE do see this with those at the top in many walks of life seem to think rules not for them.

Compared with the rest of Europe, he is responsible for more deaths. Our economy has suffered more than any other. He has failed on the two most important details.

I'm not defending Boris ..I don't know if he was the best choice. I don't believe I'm qualified to answer that question as I don't have the facts Labour seemed to be in a mess, May had been forced out ..the country voted in Boris. Hindsight tis wonderful... WE r in a mess and the blame culture dictates we find someone to blame..

Maybe he was put in deliberately because those in the know knew the shit was going to hit the fan.
Sometimes it's best to put incompetent people in as a front while those in charge wreck the place.
We all know who will get the blame. Same in the USA with trump. It's a puppet show.
