So that’s my liscence gone up nearly 30% in three years, Wtf? I wouldn’t mind if they did something. The visitor moorings round here are falling into rack and ruin.

The increase is to pay for Company Cars, nice big desks and comfy chairs in Milton Keynes. You didn't expect it to go on infrastructure did you? I thought I was the Fool!

I'd protest by grounding my boat on a sand bank mid-channel! We have been without a licence for a year now. You can hear the coins jingling in my pocket I think we will be buying Visitors'/Explorers' licences from now on - come in sets of 30 days, and three of them come to £540. Will suit us.

Well that will only work if you can find one if the few marinas without an NAA, maybe you should join CWDF 'iggs' campaign. (For those who get snarky about such matters there's an apostrophisation to chew on).

C&RT are in the happy position of knowing they are very unlikely ever to face any serious or effective opposition to the universal neglect of maintenance that lays behind the general deterioration of the inland waterways for the time being under their control. You, of all people, having so recently declined to exploit a rare opportunity for a high profile practical demonstration of the consequences of one very important aspect of the Trust's general neglect of their duties and obligations, should be acutely aware of this ! Personally, I would place maintaining the navigation channel of any waterway to the depth and standards mandated under Section 105 of the 1968 Transport Act some way above the general condition of Visitor Moorings, . . your priorities are clearly very different.

I think that license fees should be increased by a factor of ten to get rid of the riff raff.
And anyone can moor anywhere they want for unlimited periods subject to things like planning law.
Bye bye marina profit making scumbags and cheap lifestyle parasites hello properly funded navigation authority.

No I found it in my I hate everyone book.
I am struggling with an awful dilemna. A little ride across the river in my dinghy and about an hour of walking to get more beer, or no more beer.
The things I have to tolerate ! It's unbelievable.

I recently discovered the 30-days-of-your-choice licence, and three of those could do us fine for a year.
