I've got my stinky ladies with me this evening and they have both gone vegetarian. The older one who is 11 now did talk about being vegan and I was like "omg don't even GO there!!" So she didn't. One of my boys is vegan but as I constantly point out to him "If we weren't meant to eat animals then they wouldn't be made out of meat".

Tonight brings finely diced mixed county beef, pan fried with red onion, garlic and freshly picked basil and infused in a rich tomato sauce, lovingly piled on to long thin strips of dough that have been dried then softened up in salted water.
Topped off in grated cows milk cheese and served with roasted bread brushed with a garlic butter.
Served on a dustbin lid.

Lunch eaten outside in the garden, on a new garden table made this morning from a singer treadle sewing machine base and a marble fire hearth - Mushroom and onion omlette with our own fresh eggs, fresh chard and beetroot tops, baked potato with cream cheese, with rhubarb and ginger chutney, made last night from our rhubarb. The chutney will be even better when matured.

Didn't think Northerners ate 'Lunch'! aka a light dinner, not a full on dinner with pudding to follow, necessitating a sleep afterwards. I didn't realise we had 2 posh twats on the forum.

First time for a couple of years. I can pretend to be a peasant.
