I thought this interview interesting. "What's the point?" What's the point of doing anything anymore, if 'lockdown' is going to be with us forever? "I don't expect my kids to go to school this year." "We're no longer dealing with an emergency, a 'new normal' has been established and it's made of fear and an acceptance that lockdown will never go away" "A dangerous inertia has been established at the heart of the country" Chris Whitty, Neil Ferguson and the 'SAGE' 'scientists' are responsible for eroding the mental health of everyone in the country, and destroying your childrens' futures. My fear is that people on here don't have an attention span that can stretch to 23 minutes. Am I right? Nope I have a far longer attention span than that. I agree with you that mental health of many is being damaged. Current vaccines being given out are the last resort for me. If they fail then I believe we must accept that we will experience an increase in the death rate for the next few years. Far to many lives are being ruined to go any further with lockdowns.

I thought this interview interesting. "What's the point?" wanker Ah well, as has been known since the earliest days of the internet, an "ad hominem" attack always automatically wins the argument.

Heartless badger. I guess you're alright with your pension and comfy slippers (and a garage full of 'borrowed' tools), but young people are seeing no future and no hope. Rather rude and your displaying a lack of understanding Ross. Some of the elderly no longer remember their youthful years. I think they lose compassion and empathy and become selfish. I have learnt to realise there is no point in arguing with the elderly. After all, they are old and they know everything.

wrong ...... we remember everything, including the 1940s and 50.
creating hysteria over a pandemic that is already being brought under control within 12 months of its recognition, if not totally cured, shows a distinct lack of perspective.
we got through those bad old days by keeping calm, carrying on as best we could and keeping a stiff upper lip.
modern society seems to be typified by self-entitled materialistic attitudes that have no substance and collapse into hysteria about mental 'elf issues and unfair persecution by the police as soon as things get difficult. people who encourage and perpetuate such hysteria need to bugger off and grow a pair.

We? So you remember the 40s. Are you in your 80s then? If so, do you remember the thousands of young people who died in the Second World War so you could have the freedom you enjoyed since the 1940s? Grow a pair? You owe a lot to those youngsters...and still do. Millions of young people are still protecting you.

I hope your wrong. I hope that we are close to getting on top of this mess. Whichever way things go, by Spring we need lockdown to end. I can see no other solution. If by April the vaccines haven’t brought the death rates down to an acceptable level, then they never will.

the fox may like to do some research for himself for a change - the daily number of new infections has dropped by half over the last couple of weeks.
and your interpretation of my situation is way off the mark.
nuff said - go back to crap newspapers and collect your £200 bonus from the Failing Daily as you pass go.
