I am not saying that CCers dont pay there way what I and John have been saying is that non compliant CCers are milking the system. Also if an area is full there has to some control over the numbers otherwise other users dont get a fair use of the system I'm fully aware of what you are saying. I just don't think you listen to what other people are saying. For instance I think overstaying is a non issue, blown out of proportion. For the effect of distracting people from the real issues. Declining maintenance and the relentless selling off of property. Or maybe you have evidence to prove otherwise, I mean to be such a big issue the percentage of boats overstaying must be way above the 4% that is acceptable for liscence evasion. Regards kris

I was in London last year we went to Trafalger sq there was a demo on which was causing chaos nearly got me run over and none of the passing people were interested, why? they had come to see the sights not smelly, rough dressed, foul mouthed people had come to spout!! As most were from other nations they didnt understand anyway. It achieved not a jot the issue is now passed and nobody care or remembers what the demo was about I'm not sure if you post this crap for a wind up, or if you genuinely ain't quite right in the head. I think your trying very hard to be something you ain't (clever), but your succeeding in coming across as an idiot. Love it taken early retirement after selling business at a big profit living in 160k widebeam, three pensions all paying and I am the idiot? mmmmm best think about that

Hmm...I've noticed that too. Seems more interested in using the forum to brag and rub people's noses in misfortune... Exactly one of the privliged "I'm alright jacks " who don't seem to want to share the waterways with people they see as "undesirables" usually based on the state of the boats paintwork and brass. Regards kris Ps Peter there's an organisation out there for you, it's called the provisional iwa.

The canals are for everybody rich poor it doesnt matter, but to keep them we have to pay its a fact of life, why should the better of pay and the rest say it doesnt matter, they have more so we should get it for free because that in some cases is what it amounts to.

Idiots can come from all walks of life. Who cares about how much you paid for your widebeam? Your still an idiot.

Please provide evidence of these people who "don't pay" you keep going on about . Or even point to a thread where somebody has said people shouldn't pay to keep A boat on the water.

Peter, I already explained why I believe you are wrong in your assumption that some boaters are not paying their way, you obviously didn't read it. Who gets what for free? I believe you've been asked that by Jenlyn too. PS. Sorry Delta, I don't want to get into a slanging match here either but it does annoy me when people won't consider or even read counter arguments then just spout off the same old nonsense over and over again....

Maybe you should spend some of that money on an education and learning some humility and manners. You have a right to your opinion and ironically everyone here would defend that, sadly Peter you are wrong in what you say and allege regarding canals and their users,CRT the boaters on here and even Johnv will tell you that.

But he hasnt has he? And if everything was working their would be no EOs and and no court cases going on with boaters and CRT, but there are ongoing court cases because some people take the mick I can take you to 3 of them now. Anyway, tomorrow enjoy the day annoying tourists that have paid good money to see something other than a demo

Pete it's obvious you are just after getting reaction from people, so unless you want to discuss the issues like an adult I'm done. Can I kindly suggest you start your own thread to spout your drivel in.

Please provide evidence of these people who "don't pay" you keep going on about . Does a list of boats on the water which are not displaying licences exist? If not, one is easily made! I would suggest not displaying a licence is almost a sure sign of not having paid for one. CRT does ask those who have paid for licences to display them - on both sides of the boat (that's why they send you two). We came across a couple of chaps boasting they don't pay taxes. The next day we happened to pass their boat - guess what - no licence displayed. Now, I think 1 + 1 = 2. That's your evidence is it? So that's the evidence your putting up to prove that over staying is a major problem around the network. Brilliant can I ask Mr fox you don't work for Crt by perchance, do you? Regards kris
