It was a council and government subsidised unit peter, hardly a garage. I actually came and looked at a car you were advertising for sale in 2007. We owned it, bought it in 2002 it had a stolen securicor van in it when the shutters went up!!! cant remember whatr we were selling then could have been anything X300 or XJ40 XJS? no idea I was looking for a TWR for track day use. You or whoever, over the phone said you could source one, but you didn't come up with it. Still, I had a nice couple of days in Leeds. So I wasn't to pissed off.

Never owned a Jag (to be honest never wanted one) I drive an elderly Astra with 170,000 miles on the clock, which replaces an elderly Astra with 297,000 miles on the clock which replaced an elderly Astra...and so on. It was a standing joke amongst my employees that if you wanted to borrow a car from anyone in the firm, the last choice would be the bosses. If it has a wheel at each corner and gets me from A to B that is all I look for.

I hopefully don't have to say but shall anyway,I mean that in Jest

You or whoever, over the phone said you could source one, but you didn't come up with it. Still, I had a nice couple of days in Leeds. So I wasn't to pissed off. I tell you a strange story about a TWR,in the garage at Peartree there was a red one with cream leather and it lay for ages waiting on the owner finding the money to fund a repaint. It was eventually painted and left the Garage. About a year later I was on the boat and a little plastic cruiser pulled in next to me,the boater was around sixty with a younger woman of around forty,he came up addressed me by name said hello and I suffered that embarrassing thing when they obviously know you but you have no idea who they are.Anyway he turned out to be the homeless bloke who lived in the caravan below the A5 flyover just south of Simpson next to the canal which is why I guess he knew me. Over the course of the next few days with myself coming and going he noticed the car and we started talking Jaguars during which he started saying he had a TWR 18,000 miles on the clock,he had put it into storage when his business crashed, gone back to check on it years later and the garage where he had left it had sold it.He was now engaged in a legal battle badly hampered by his having little cash and being in Milton Keynes as opposed to Devon where this had all taken place.Anyway he later showed me pics of the car 14 days came and we went our separate ways. Chatting a while later to Tsinca who posts on here and comes from Devon about this guy I was stunned to hear that he both knew the bloke and the large computer business he had run having previously moored up with him earlier that year.Strange how life can be sometimes.

I suspect that I started boating before you were born and I have lived on boats of various types for nearly half my life so why do you assume that I have no experience? Wrong again, and anyway I'm talking about relevant experience to this thread, not boating in general.... and I don't like Mondeo's either...
