This Autumn cruising rocks…. Saw 2 moving boats today, Bliss & hassle free!👍 been once over the aqueduct, a couple of times over the road bridge and quite a few times under them both (couple of times on the "Manchester Regiment" a cargo passenger ship)

First time I did the Barton swing aqueduct back in the nineties, I spotted a guy entering the cab, so moored and went for a nosey. He had come to operate the mechanism and close the aqueduct ... apparently it is done every so often to check. He let me watch and chatted about the operation and its history. Such fun Rog

I wonder if it has been dry there for a while
