Bridge hopping is legal, according to the act, if one has a home mooring. It's only CCers who have to travel Bona Fide for navigation. . It perfectly possible to “bridge hop,” legally but that doesn’t fit this persons judgemental agenda. Yes, you successfully hopped by the same bridge for years. Nice one.

You consider that a "dig"? merely helpful information and it did receive a response. My reply to peterboat is valid as a "dig" do you support bridge hopping? No I dislike judgemental pricks. Who hide behind fake names. That's a bit judgemental of you krisRog

I can see me bridge hopping in the Skipton area from November to March, stoppages permitting. What about taking a Winter Mooring in the area. canalrivertrust.org.uk/enjoy-the-waterways/boating/moorings/winter-moorings East Marton or Skipton perhaps. "Winter moorings give boaters who don't already have a permanent mooring a chance to moor up for the winter months, while keeping enough space clear for those who want to continue cruising." I want to cc, though obviously Crt want to maximise income by minimising nice free moorings, taking the best for the Waterside lot, even though many are not booked: I think I am currently sitting on one such, but the notices are rather vague, ie open to interpretation, and if it says "leisure mooring", does that not include me in? I will stay here overnight, it's handy to the shops and launderette.
