I love to fish, but only go sea fishing. I tend to put them back as I don't eat fish but my MIL does so I do try and save some good ones for her.
I have been known to keep some bait fish but only enough for the session im on. I did once sell a massive (sea) bass to the local curry house but only the once.

Been a few years since I last went sea fishing, caught Pollack and mackerel, ate them.

I’ve been a commercial fisherman a few times, so fishing not to eat them doesn’t interest me, I can’t see the point. Catching eels is how I bought this boat.

I went fishing... twice in my life Once with big brother who made me crawl all over a road to retrieve the live bait when he dropped the container Second time in a Norwegian Fjord with youngest son.... fishing boat had sonar to track shoals of fish...I refused to bait hook(stinky) I caught a fish... I refused to take it off the hook... I was relieved of fishing duties... I made awesome coffee.. as for gutting and cooking and eating.... I don't think so... If A.N.Other would gut and cook, I'm quite happy to eat fish....  |
