So we'll be anxiously awaiting the photos. Its a lovely boat. The best looking barge I have seen in 25 years living on English waterways. Beautiful. Lovely. This is how I feel about lake, so they must have been built by the same builder.

Yes I noticed Pluto appears to have missed it. It was previously moored at a riverside mooring ie not hidden behind other boats - at the Ryepeck Moorings in Shepperton opposite Chertsey meads. I remember it because it is such a beautiful boat. Impossible to ever forget.

Not keen on the name myself (Life is struggle) but this is one beautiful Dutch barge Previously moored at West India quay canary wharf I have walked past it many times and thought how nice it would be to live on. If one could find a mooring for it. I usually try to deny finding Dutch boats appealing but I really do like this one. A lot www.dutchbargesforsale.co.uk/yachts/6345/luxemotor_restaurant_barge.htmlNeeds a considerable lowering of the asking price though.

That's good - should get a wider audience that way. ebay is a bit iffy for boat sales. Owner tells me if he doesn't get the reserve on ebay he won't sell it. Fair enough. I agree it's got the makings of a stunning boat, but if he won't sell it for less than £38,000 I think he will hanging onto it for a while. I expect the owner has seen this thread and worked out that I am a Count and do occasional short SIS contracts therefore a few £k would make no difference to me.

I hope that you'll forgive me being naughty, but I just can't resist :"Are you sure there isn't a letter too much in your writing 'COUNT' ?"

I've been trying to find the details of this Luxemotor in some old Dutch registers, but the barges with that name all have different dimensions.
One thing I'm pretty sure of, this barge was surely lenghtened at some stage during it's life.
Too bad they don't give a Dutch inscription number in the brokers details, as I would have had a better chance finding out where the barge was built, and the original lenght.

That's interesting because one of the things which put me off it was the length. I had not considered that it may have been lengthened. I really like the boat. I guess i'm a closet Dutch barge fan pretending to prefer English barges by looking at boats like LAKE
