Nice looking boat, but as said, it sadly is made of wood, if not it would have been a possible interesting boat. I don't think that you need a spare Daewoo, as your is almost new, and don't know if it's an engine similar to yours anyway. Peter.

I think we did this one before ages ago The obvious question is would it handle at all or would it just wander about all over the place. It would be a pig to handle I reckon, like bantam tugs when they are not pushing anything. Although the underwater shape looks alright. A short boat like that requires a permanent concentration on the rudder, as the slightest mouvement will make such a shortboat go in a different direction. If there's any play somewhere in the steering system you'll have a hard time when the short boat isn't pushing, as once connected to whatever that's been pushed, the behaviour will be much better. But there's nothing that can't be done with a blow torch, angle-grinder and a welder to change that space into some more useful space. There may be a possibility to install an engine close to where the shaft comes in, and maybe even install the engine above the shaft to reduce the waste of the limited available space. The boat is still on the listing for £ 15k which isn't a price for which I would come over to have a closer look, and I wouldn't have the space to work on the boat here anymore either. Another problem would be the transport, as it's about 30 years ago that the last small coaster came to the end of this river where it joins the Seine, as only a transport via water would be a probably not too expensive way to get a boat of that size her. Road transport with a wide load requires escort vehicles and even police on motorbikes, which cost more than the price of the boat, and it would likely be cheaper to build something of that size brand new. It certainly looks like more than £4 thousand pounds sterling. I suppose the tyres are a bit awkward as you usually have to pay to dispose of tyres so that could knock off a few quid if you include the removal and transport costs.

No other photo's to see, I wonder if the stern does look more or less like "DB Elizabeth's" stern. Peter.
