Electric and beer is definitely a good mix but you need to be careful about falling asleep.
A thumper like the Sabb which was in one of those Dutch ones which were here a few years ago would help in that respect as it shakes the whole boat and makes a heck of a racket.

Pictures on the facebook page indicate that it is fitted for kipping in rather than the cabin being an engine room. Which invites the question "what engine does it have?" Maybe it's a two pot Kubota under the boards? Sort of defeats the object although one of these would be quite nice made electric the whole idea is as JohnV said earlier to wrap a hull around as big an engine as possible and ensure the thing floats. Modern interpretation perhaps. I feel sure that when you contact them it will be confirmed Sir can have as monstrous an engine as his heart could desire. Yes clearly however one wonders how they would shoehorn in a tall marine unit. I would probably choose a Gardner 1L2 for an English boat.

Just out of interest, if you wanted a small inflatable suitable for an outboard, what would you choose?

A Tomhawk 2.0 Horsepower 4 stroke engine? Sounds unbelievable bad! Although Guy Martin had a thief twice to say about that wordβ¦ π

I had a Selva outboard years ago (about 30 years ago) on a 9ft Spitfire speedboat. It was a 25hp. Pile of shite. It had a nasty habit of jumping into reverse gear when revving up just after starting (2 smoke engine).
Anyway I phoned someone dealership related about it and a lady got on the phone and explained that the Selva outboards were "like a thoroughbred horse". Having a bit of horse knowledge I disabused her of that notion. It's just a shit quality outboard. Italian junk. For some reason they have problems with material quality.
Anyway I didn't die and these days there are a few relatively old buggers who have the Allmarine spitfire speedboats and they have a facebook group. They tend to steer clear of Selva crap however.

It's quite an interesting price. Not seen that particular dinghy before. Could be a good item but does look worrying. I did have a seahopper once which was quite a funny rather flexible plywood and canvas folding dink. Got two of us in it and outboard and we survived a few hours on it on the calm Thames.

Interesting but it is still an improvement over this

Not for sale, but spotted this little polished aluminium number moored up on The T & M last week.
